I'm not reading this.

I'm not reading this.

They're not actually going on (for about 4-5 emails now) about how FPF is inherently better than FPF because the characters are more interesting, are they? Are they?

Argh. Can I smack them? Please? Pretty please? And Vali, if I can find a suitable quote-blurb about the legality of RPF somewhere in list archives or wherever, can I use it to BASH THEIR SKULLS IN?

Some famous author had a really great quote about how the greatest fictional character ever created is but a pale shadow of the most boring real person who ever lived. If I can find it, I'll post it here.

Thanks. Cause you know, I personally find Jim Ellison (to use an example used by one of the FCA-L people) to be rather boring. Vali finds the puppies boring. Lots of people find Metallica boring. That's fine. To each their own flavour of boylove, I say. Just don't say my stories suck as stories because the source is boring, because then i'm going to get bitchy.

That's the problem, see; any response I'd make would be incredibly bitchy and terse, because I'm sick and tired of the pats on the head, of being treated like some toddler who doesn't know what she's doing and should be stopped from playing with fire, or at least warned about the dangers thereof, by concerned adults.

I would just once like my assertions that "It's not libel, dammit" to be met with anything but veiled accusations that I'm just pulling that out of my ass (Uh, hello? Actual legal source here? *waves lawyer-girl*), or a change of subject to "Just cause it's not illegal doesn't mean it's morally right" because that's not what your original argument was and if we're going to argue morals, how about the morality of taking people's creations and making them do all sorts of things neither the creators nor the people lending their bodies (i.e. actors) approved of, huh? HUH? HUH?

Urge to kill ... rising ...
