Well, ... Sort of. I'm trying to write 50,000 words by the end of the month, but not an actual novel. I didn't have any plots for a story of that length, and I have a hard time concentrating on something for that length of time (and prose).

Yeah, I'm Dutch-speaking, but all my writing's in English. I write mainly fanfiction of the slash (m/m) variety, so that'll be mainly what you'll see in here, writing-wise. The HP posts may also contain some rants about the HP fanfic/slash community. :)

Plot

I think having a plot would be about the worse thing to start a novel. I mean, it's not quite adventurous to know what you're going to end up with, before you start.
I only had an opening or two, started with one, found it too complicated, begun over again with the second, didn't like where it was going, but I'm too far on that one and I'll just keep diverting from the actual plot until I find the fire escape and a way to change it.
I think I'll have to ditch a character, and in a way I won't, because what he did after I threw him out of my book will be known by millions of people from various non-fictional works, so I feel no need to write any of that. I'm tolerating him because he spices things up and shapes my character in a way that will make him more interesting, but when his job is done, he's gone.
So nope, I didn't start with a plot, and after 12.500 words, I have about an idea or two, three, about things that I want to happen at some point in the story, but as to how I will connect them, I have no idea...

Well, it depends on yor definition of plot. Here, I was using it as short for "plot bunny," a basic idea, a premise upon which to base the story. :)
