1. When my brother and I were kids and we were on vacation, my parents would hang cards around our necks with our car's license plate and where it was parked, so that if we got lost, people knew where to bring us to.
  2. This is true. It was rather necessary, as I, especially, had a habit of wanderig off by myself. Or so I'm told. Since I've almost no recollection of my first 7-8 years, I can't know for sure. I do remember the one time I got lost in Duinkerke, but that's a regained memory -- it came back to me in a dream when I was 12-ish.

  3. My brother once peed on my head.
  4. True. My brother was a little asshole sometimes.

  5. Apart from when I was born, I've never been in a hospital.
  6. Absolutely true. I'm a very healthy girl. I think the most ill I've been in my life was three or four days of the meazles. Oh, and one day of the flu. I, like my mother, don't like to give in to illness. I feel better when I'm working/at school than when i'm at home in my bed. I only stay home when i' have an actual fever, and sometimes not even then.

  7. I ran away from home when I was 14, and spent three days in the UK.
  8. True. Not the happiest time of my life, to say the least.

  9. I once modelled for a painting.
  10. True. I was 12. The painting eventually found its way back to us and is now hanging in my former room at my parents'. If and when I ever get it, I'm taking it. That and the Judas' Kiss of my grandma's are two of my favourite paintings. (I know I've a photo of my painting somewhere. I'll post if if-n-when I find it.)

  11. The first stories I wrote were about twins called Jan and Cynthia.
  12. True. Jan and Cynthia and fairy tales, those were the first things I wrote. Lord, I sucked. But these don't make me cringe as bad as some of my later work, which is odd.

  13. I am descendant from a priest, and one of my aunts is married to an ex-priest.
  14. True. Semi-famous-in-Belgium priest and writer Hugo Verriest was (according to family lore) one of my ancestors from mom's side of the family. Father Damien's sister is also supposed to be in there somewhere. My aunt married the pries who was provoost (I have no idea what the English equivalent of this would be) when she was a leader in the Chiro, a catholic youth organisation that most of my family was/is in.

  15. I once wrote Biker Mice from Mars slash.
  16. Sad, but true. My stories sucked, but it was a really nice fandom to be in. Quite close-knit, centred around one message board and site. Very in-joke-y. Don't know why I grew out of it the way I did. Maybe I was just too old. The average age was more around 15-16 than my then-19.

  17. I had absolutely nothing to do with my youngest brother dressing in drag for a fancy dress party at his scool. Ditto for the Darth Maul costume the year after that.
  18. Lie! The emphasis gave me away. Damnation. :) I'd just like to point out that I was only involved in the dressing up stage. He came up with the ideas himeself. So there.

  19. I knew a teacher at my old school was gay, years before he came out. And no one else suspected this.
  20. True! It seems my gaydar is rather accurate. Every person I've ever met IRL and suspected of being gay, has turned out to be. I'm going to hang on to the caveat of the IRL meeting, since otherwise the whole entertainment business would be gay.

I knew that one had to be true. No matter how much imagination anyone has, only a parent could think that one up! LOL.
