So. Have been thinking about what to do with apartment.

Bathroom has white tiules. Pretty much unchangeable. Meh. Blue/green/yellow curtains? Argh! Not more blue or yellow! Kitchen is yellow, but that's okay.

I want something eastern in the bedroom. Not the Far East, the Middle East. Something vaguely haremish. It'd work well with my (blue-and-silver) bed and night table, and with my (dark wood) closet and cabinet, and my (black) chest. Plus, I like the intimacy of the colours, the feeling. Don't normally like orange or reddish colours, but a warm red/sandy orange bedroom sounds loverly. (Also, bdroom faces north, so I can use the warm feeling.) Mum suggested wallpaper rather than paint, for pattern purposes.

I don't know what to do with the living room. All my furniture for it is light wood, so I'd want a light colour to match it. But. Logical choices would be yellow and/or blue, and i've had my various rooms (student and at home) have been in yellow and blue, and I want something different. Suggestions?

Candles?

Candles and incense go with anything one can do to/with a flat, and i love em. <hint> Or, you know, you could send yourself. That'd be a good house'warming' party. ;D

Re: Candles?

Heaven knows I'll probably spend as much on buying you candles and stuff as a plane ticket would cost. *grin*

Let me know what colors, k? *happy sigh* An actual reason to go shop at Pier One, yay!
