I got my Moocards today! :D I'd actually forgotten I'd ordered a set of these, so when I got the package I had a moment of "WTF did I do? Package? What?" They look really cool, too. I basically grabbed a bunch of pictures from my Flickr account, mostly pictures my dad took in the summer of 2005, so there's a bunch of landscapes in there, some pictures of my and my brothers, and of course a handful of pictures I took myself, including some of lower quality ones, but most of them look really nice, and hey, it's effectively 100 wee business crds (I put my name/address/e-mail/mobile number on the back) for £9.99 plus shipping, so I'm not complaining.
I ... don't really have a lot else to say today. Work is a bit frustrating, and I really dislike training, although this training is at least not boring. And I found out that with the new version that'll be out in a few months, they've redone the desktop version from scratch, because "Well, we had no choice, really, cause the programmer left, and we couldn't find anyone who uses PASCAL anymore ...."
(Note: Current verion, which, yes, is in fact still written in PASCAL? Came out in November 2005. The first version, I beliebe, came out somewhere in the mid- to late Nineties. PASCAL was obsolete when I was taught it in my first year of secondary school, which would have been 1992-1993.)
Am currently highly pissed off at Tier Two, who are doing my head in and sending back cases because they don't read all the damn case notes and then assume, apparently, I can't do my job. (Me: "Cust is having [known Benelux licence problem X, for which a patch will be available today, probably, through T2], please send the patch as soon as it's available." Them: "No patch will be available for this, if he wants Benelux maps, he should download them from the desktop software." Which is, like, the first damn thing I learned in training. Thanks for the insult, bitches.) So. Angry. AUGH. THE ALL-KNOWING ORACLE IS NOT PLEASED AND DEMANDS A FUCKING APOLOGY!
