Health, part one: Went to Boots yesterday to get some iboprufen, which I've been taking according to instructions since yesterday, and it seems to be working. I no longer have trouble swallowing, and the weird sensitive swelling on my neck's mostly gone now. The pharmacist who was nice enough to help me said that it's probably some sort of viral infection, and to go see a doctor if it's not at least mostly gone by tomorrow. We'll seehow that goes.

Health, part two: I've also started increasing my daily water intake, and keeping track of it, as well as my coffee consumption and number of cigarettes. Yesterday I had thirteen cigarettes (not too bad), a liter of coffee, and four liters of water. That's a whole gallon, people. Number of times I had to go to the loo: I don't even want to know. Geez. But it does seem to help counteract the effects of the dry, airconditioned air, so that's something.

Housekeeping and related stuff: Cleaning and clearing continues apace, and I hope to finish sorting through my crap and cleaning my bedroom by Saturday evening, as well as calling Argos (and possibly amending the order to add a computer desk, and a DVD/video tape rack? Maybe also a computer chair?) to arrange delivery for Thursday or Friday next week, when I can be home during the day.

London trip: Plans are taking on a more definite form as I've now looked into how to get there the cheapest. I can't seem to find cheap prices for the overnight train, so I'll probably be flying on BabyBMI, which is only two a few quid more than the normal train and would mean I get have to spend less time deprived of micotine. (... Hush.) I'll be there over Easter weekend, in all likelyhood, unless that's really inconvenient for anyone, arriving some time around noon on Friday 14 April, and leaving mid-afternoon on the Tuesday (or Wednesday, see below).

[livejournal.com profile] baleheadbabe, does your offer of a place to crash still stand?
[livejournal.com profile] tamsin_h, depending on who I want/need to meet up with, I'll over to Cambridge Monday afternoon/evening, if you still want me over, and then catch a train from there on Tuesday, or come over on Tuesday afternoon and then leave there early on Wednesday. Unless it's easier for you if I come first to Cambridge on Friday, and then go on to London from there on Saturday?
Everyone else, when do you want to meet up?

(Yes, I'm planning this rather far in advance. I want to be able to buy my tickets as soon as I can, so I'll not have to worry about that anymore, and book any further time off I might need.)
