Heh. I don't know how many of you NaNoers have listened to the WriMoRadio podcast, but you should. Chris Beaty, Nao founder, talks about the shiny new stuff on the site that "will almost certainly crash the server several times over the next two months." Ahahaha! Clearly the man is psychic. :D

Listening to that podcast has also made me doubt what I want to do for NaNo this year, but that's an issue for my writing journal.

Like the big geek that I am, I'm already trying to decide what to dress up as for Halloween. Pretty much no one I'm working with now has seen my costume from last year (my black goth dress, white make-up, and my vampire teeth), so I could just wear that again. Or I could wear the dress again (I like that dress, can you tell?) except with a witch hat or something. Or I could go for something else, like maybe Tank Girl (except that's not really scary, and also a rather drafty costume for late October in Scotland) or Random Hogwarts Students (except ditto on the not scary--I suppose I could go as Mary Sue, from House Sparklypoo, but I doubt anyone else would think I was scary). Opinions? Suggestions? Anything?

(And yes, I fully plan to put up a poll about this nearer the date. LiveJournal: Enabling codependent tendencies since 1999!)

In other, crafty news, this circular knitting thing is annoying me. And I'm only on row one. Sigh. I'm having trouble finding yarn for [livejournal.com profile] oulangi's Ravenclaw scarf, so I may just jump ahead to [livejournal.com profile] ruby_fruit's Gryffindor scarf, for which I do know a shop that has the perfect yarn, and order the Ravenclaw colours somehwhere online or something.

Hm. Do I order my NaNo shirt (and the book) now, or do I wait until the mugs are out, and possibly risk not getting it in time for NaNo?
