Today on Blokes In The Next Aisle Theatre: The Sound of Music! As in, one of them just spontaneously started singing Climb Every Mountain. *eyes them funnily* Also, "... Greg has been exposed to him ... Gay capital of the ..." What on earth are that lot on about? o_O

Okay, knitters on my friendslist, I need help. For the Ravenlaw hat, would it be best I use circular needles (in which case, how the hell do I do the stripes?) or do I just knit normally and sew it (and end up with a seam). I was looking at either this hat (simple, but looks it) or this one (needs circular needles, and I'm not sure how well that's gonna work with the thick yarn I have, but I like the model). Any advice? Please?

Scarf progress: Nine lines into the second-to-last panel. Unless I decide to add some more panels, that means I'll probably be finished tonight or tomorrow, so I should really decide on the hat thing and get any needles I may need this afternoon.

... Anyone else want one? I'm gonna need a big busywork project, once the hats and my gloves are done. Or maybe I'll try knitting some Weasley jumpers. (Because clearly, HP has eaten the crafts part of my brain. Ow)

Buggrit. Apparently, neither circular nor double-pointed needles seem to come in the size I need for the long hat. Which means I either fabricate my own, look for a miracle, or alter the pattern for the long hat so I can do it with normal needles. I think I can manage the latter, actually. *ponders*
