... And as I'm making that list, my dad forwards me a message about permanent hair dye causing cancer. Um. Then again, doesn't everything? I'm a vegetarian, I don't drive, I'm in pretty decent physical shape, I give to charity, and I don't write mpreg, so I'm allowed to have two small vices. Anything could get you killed. And yeah, I should stop smoking, but I'm not about to go back to my natural hair colour, although I'm currently about thisclose to clipping it all off again because I AM GOING INSANE!!!!11!!!1!!

dreadlocks, dreadlocks, dreadlocks, dreadlocks, dreadlocks, dreadlocks, dreadlocks, dreadlocks, dreadlocks, dreadlocks, dreadlocks, ...

Okay, important questions for all USAians:

  1. I need a state to set Ravenswood (the small town where SL takes place) in. It should be fairly cold -- so, northish, and probably on/near the East Coast, since they're touring for one/two months, and they pass through Athens, Georgia. The possibility of there being a small townwith a lake and a (pine, I believe) wood is also a necessity. Suggestions?
  2. Explain the concept of community colleges to me. What's the difference between community colleges and universities/"plain" colleges? How do they work?

Dear self:

I know you have $25 to spend on random crap at amazon.com, but you still have about two dozen books you've not read yet, and your bookshelves are already overflowing.

Get the Defiant Ones DVD. And no, you may not get a used copy just because it'd be insanely cheap and allow you to buy more stuff. Do you really want to take that risk?

Gah,
You.

Edit: Dear Amazon.com,

Fine, then, bitch. Don't let me buy The Dirt. See if I care!

Harrumpf,
Melle

Edit 2: S:AaB books for less $5/$1!!!! qomsjkdkqsd!

So an e-mail just came through our intra-office mailing list, and the subject line is displayed as "Cockt..." and my brain reads that as "Cocktease" rather than "Cocktail", which it actually says.

The worst thing is, I sent that e-mail myself.
