I hate people.

Was sitting across from these two old women on the train, and one of them mentions she saw these two blokes holding hands on the street the other day.

I get a sinking feeling.

Sure enough, this is their cue to launch into a fifteen-minute ramble on how they had nothing against gay people, but they shouldn't flaunt it in front of everyone and bla bla bla bullshitcakes.

Was about to pointedly leave as one of them decided to drag me into it. Her, clearly expecting total and utter agreement: "Don't you agree, miss?"
Me, looking up from the magazine I'd been pretending to read: "Actually, I don't. I'm a lesbian. And I don't think I should hide that fact just because people are uncomfortable with it. It's only by being visible that we can help people become comfortable with it."

And then I gave them my most angelic smile and got back to my magazine. They were silent for a few minutes and then changed the subject.

Yeah, that felt good, but it didn't take away the sinking feeling I got from listening to these two women go on and on about how, quite basically, I have less rights than others. It's a good thing I was having a good day before that, because now I'm just pissed, and otherwise I'd have been depressed.

Thankfully, there is still hope

Need a break from the angst? Come watch Lee and George!

Wednesday or Thursday evening last week, in which Lee turns out to be a goddamn slut. Woo. Go Lee!

Does anyone have a time turner I could use? Because I really want to go back in time to 1989, 1990, and grab that first World War II book out of the hands of my non-year old self and HIT HER OVER THE HEAD WITH IT!

*whimper*

Anyone want a War!Bunny? Because I have plenty. There's the resistance!bunny, and then there's the "Harry leaves after the war and goes to live as a hermit somewhere in South America and years later, Draco stumbles upon him"!bunny, which I really want to write just to torture Draco with the burning sun, the mosquitos, the dirt, and the fact that none of the people speak a bloody word of English! (I really like prissy!Draco far too much for my own good.)

Want more? Here, have a pair of twins. Two bunnies, along the same line, two sides of a coin. One: Voldemort and the Death Eaters start attacking in a guerilla-like fashion, terrorising the wizarding world, and Our Heroes try to stop them by any means necessary -- and that includes going undercover. Two: Voldemort somehow comes into power, and Our Heroes are now the guerilleros (guerilleri?), trying to overthrow him by any means necessary -- and that includes, again, going undercover.

And then there's this insane urge I have to kill off Harry right at the start of the war, just to see how they all deal with it, and have I mentioned that I want to have Draco teach Harry the Dark Arts because Harry can't defeat Voldemort otherwise and blablabla moral dilemmacakes, and then there's the one where Harry and Draco go back in time to kill Tom Riddle, which is half war!bunny, half "Melle read far too much SF&F as and impressionable young thing and therefore cannot stop thinking about the theoretical consequenses of time travelling"!bunny, and hey! If none of those are to your liking, I'm sure I can come up with at least a dozen more!

But not now, because I need to go have lunch with my dad right now.

Run, don't walk, to this essay, because it explains in a much more coherent fashion why I believe in Redeemable!Draco. Yes. Just. Yes.

Oh, and while you're at it, go check out the new acherontia.net layout. *grin*

And of course as if all those bunnies aren't enough, my brain goies and merges two of them, so now I have to write it/them. Bugger all.

The Bunny. Cut because a) it's FUCKING LONG, and b) I'm going to end up writing this, and you may not want to be spoilt. )

God, I swear, I can write an 850+ words outline of a fucking bunny, but I can't write a single word of the actual story that's due tomorrow! I hate my brain.
