It's a good thing my work email has an automated signature. Cause, um, I almost signed an email 'Melle'. I also almost called one of my coworkers 'babe'.

Shit.

(I need caffeine.)

The idea of grammarNerd!Larry is far too amusing. Fuck.

As a lesbian, I am 55% gay. (The average lesbian is only 37% gay.)
As a straight man, I am 33% gay.

Also, 20 is apprently the gayest age. That amuses me.

My mp3 list is once again organised and formatted to my liking. Normally, I prefer all-lower-case filenames, but that'd mean entering file info for every song I have. So they're all formatted the way I want them to appear in my playlist. And I had to rename a bunch of the newly-ripped Dylan songs from Untitled # to their correct names. And then I had to enter the right song info for a bunch of the live at MSG stuff. Sheesh.

Ok, maybe I'm the only one to feel this way, but I truly believe the devil is a yellow smiley face.

Zed, do you know why Tim's journal's disappeared?

Are you still having trouble with the FTP? I mean, I'd deduct from your post about the HansonSlash Archive that it eventually worked, but just in case.

Dara, is it working for you now?

Do you have AIM? I'd like to talk to you some time, but don't like ICQ.

Every time I'm about to give up on HP fandom altogether (The H/D shmoop! The teenies! The divas! The temper tantrums! Aaarrrrrgh!), I get dragged into an interesting discussion and wham! The muses are back.

Normally, I'm pretty hit-and-run when it comes to fandoms. I'm still surprised that my Metallica flame hasn't gone out, and I think that's mainly because of the good writers in that famdom. But Harry Potter, I suspect, may very well be here to stay for a loooong while, because it's a book fandom, and there's so much more room for discussion and interpretation and characterisation in a book fandom.

I don't like canon Draco for what he is. I like him for what he could become.
(Sae; LJ comment)
That about sums it up. The Harry Potter sandbox, because it's a book sandbox, is so much bigger than movie or tv show or RL fandoms, because a picture does not say more than a thousand words; it might, but there are things you can say in words that a picture (image) will never ever say. This proves that I am, above all, a reader, a lover of books, a writer.

(And yet, despite this huge sandbox, people continue to stray outside it and insist that they are still inside. Sigh. </bitchiness>)

I don't think I'll ever understand the "I'm not writing this for publication, so I'm not gonna work as hard on this as I would on a story that I'd get paid for" attitude. You're putting it out on the Net. That is publication. What the fuck kind of writer writes for money?
