Eh?

I appear to have written a U2 snippet. Odness est. Hidden behind one of these link thingies for those of you with no interest in slash.

Early morning, the sun's just coming up, and he's staring. Staring at them, the way they look together. They fit so perfectly.

He gets up to leave, but a hand on his arm stops him.

"Stay' Edge is looking up to him, a strange emotion in his eyes.

Larry shakes his head. "This isn't my place."

"We could make it yours."

"We?" he asks, looking at the still-sleeping singer.

"Yes, we. We've talked about this, you know."

"You did? I thought ..."

"You thought last night was just a drunk, one-off thing?" " ... Yeah."

"It wasn't. Stay?"

So he stays.

Feh. I don't know what to think of it.

Squee! LarryFic!

In other U2 news, I have to make you a tape of a bunch of the songs off my bootlegs. Bono changes a line of "Tryin' To Throw Your Arms Around the World" on the Paris CD to something totally slashy. I will post it in my LJ. :-)

Weee! Bootlegs! And I'm glad you liked the LarrySnippet.

U2 slash. ...never occurred to me, oddly enough. Although seeing the good Catholic boys who bring Bibles to their concerts in a PWP fuckfest would be amusing as all hell, the thought will take some getting used to. (Very little, but some.)

Dude. Have you ever seen them at said concerts? They kiss. Like, on the cheeck, on the forehead, but still. And they snuggle. You don't do that five feet away from a bunch of slashers and expect to get away with it, yo!

Re:

Actually, I went to the two nights in Philadelphia of the Elevation tour. After I posted that, I started thinking about the concerts. The first night, I was on the floor, and the first time Bono and Edge came out together *stupid giggle* to the apex of the heart-stage-thing, I remember thinking- while melting into a puddle at the proximity, "Cool, they're, like, making out."

Ignore the last comment. I think I was drunk at the time. Or conscious. Same difference. ;P

I saw them twice in NYC and NJ. We were 5 feet away from this, and a week later from this. Yeah. Tell me that's not slashy. ^_^

Re:

Heh heh, ooh, I like the second one. ^_^

The only thing about U2 slash is that, my mom's boss is all buddy-buddy with Bono, what with shared causes and such (Tony's a prominent figure in the, er, faith community?). After hearing his stories about the guys all pulling out their Bibles to ask questions about scriptiure backstage in Philadelphia and the praying and whatnot, and then remembering Tony's arguments with his wife about 'Homosexuality and Christianity' (his wife is cool, I talked with her for hours about it, she's the polar opposite of the Southern Baptists I grew up with *bleah*), slashing U2 feels... weird.

Feh, that's never stopped me before. ^_^ *slashes away*

Hm. I'm Christian as they come, and I'm also gay. They don't seem to have many issues with homosexuality, considering Bono's friendship (or is that just a rumour?) with Michael Stipe and his dedicating Walk On to the gay community at ER.

Re:

It really has little to do with the band itself, more to do with associations therewith. Which is why I say it takes very little getting used to. Some, but very little.

I see. Thanks for the explanation, and sorry for the nosiness. ^_^
