I love Colleen.

Aaaargh! Less than 12 hours away from The First Day On The Job and the punkmuses move back into my head. Send help.

The american-speaking muses are rapidly becoming a minority in my head. Combined with the British-speaking job, I'm going to have a wee bit of a problem keeping in-character when I write them. Ach well.

Colleen loves you, too. *giggle* More people should write Sex Pistols slash, agreed. (Blame me for uplaoding that. She wasn't going to, but I stole the disk and made her. Yay!)

Mwah!

You rock. Can't you steal Colleen's brain and connect it straight [ahem] to a computer? I'm so desperately craving for punkslash that even The Ramones are starting to look slashy. [I need serious help, I know.]

Yessy yessy yes!

I *love* that series! Want more! It inspired me, but grr. I was thinking of buying a(nother) book about the Sex Pistols on Saturday, in distant shopping centre, but didn't. Will just have to wear Sid t-shirt and see if that helps muses, which are slightly more lively than usual. (Worked on story where main characters are based on Sid and Morrissey yesterday. Yay!) Have been wearing God Save The Queen t-shirt for last four days, but that doesn't seem to be doing much.

Heh. Luckily, I can borrow Sex Pistols books from the library. I'm spending enough money on other punk [and metal, and U2, and other] merchandise as it is. [Held hostage by muses. Send help.]

Re: Yessy yessy yes!

I wish I had a local library. Actually I have a four-storey one that's about a two-minute walk away from my room, but since I live at a university, it's highly unlikely to have any books of interest. Then again, I wouldn't know, due to the amount of time I've spent in there. My library at home is equally pants - v. small, mostly deals with women's fiction and is open about two hours a week. Mimph. Anyway, are there any good books you could recommend to me? (Have read "England's Dreaming" and some of the one about the American tour while staying with Twi.)

What sort of merchandise?

I'm sorry, but I'm entirely unsympathetic of your muse situation. I wish I had some! Could you talk them into coming over to my room?

Re: Yessy yessy yes!

Re recommendations: Rotten: No Irish, No Blacks, No Dogs by J. Lydon. I found it better than England's Dreaming because it had less background and stuff and more details. Also, it's narrated by Mr Lydon and spiced up with bits of narration from Sex Pistols and Other Assorted Punks. Not as good for 'objectiveness' and general picture, but muy better for insight in relationships and characters. Also damn amusing.

Re merchandise: Mostly buttons, and a few CD's, but that's only cause I can't find T-Shirts to my liking round here.

Re: Muses: Hrmpf. Fine, then, be that way, see if I care. And of course I can at least try to send them over. Did you have any particular muses in mind? The punks are being exceptionally silly today, and U2 are insisting on glittering like Christmas ornaments [and no, I don't know why, though I suspect Steve has something to do with it], but the others are all behaving rather good.

Sounds good. Besides Johnny really doesn't like ED: he says it doesn't give a true picture of the band, which I can believe, since Jon Savage implies that it was all dume'n'glume, while I'm sure at least the early days were fun. If I win a gift certificate from Amazon (I was the first person to review two books there), I'll buy it.

T-shirts: oh, Canterbury is v. good for them (especially as far as metal is concerned, but there's some punk/grunge/indie ones too). Are there any specific ones you want? (Warning: they're easiest to get in extra large.) I'll buy you a belated birthday/Christmas/Valentine's present, if you like.

The punkish muses sound fun, thank you, if they're still runing amok. But do beware of The Aevilness Of Mr Van Boven. Trust me on this.

Re: Yessy yessy yes!

Yes, punk was about fun! There's a bit in NINBND where Johnny talks about how Sid was actually a pretty funny guy [he then goes on to say "Steve's like that, too - aaarhg!] and stuff.

Erm, any snarky-funny T-Shirt would be tres cool. [Smallest size you can find.] Ta. You rock.

Punkmuses, rigget. Johnny, Sid, fetch! [And Mr Van Boven seemed quite nice last night, really.]
