So. I've been avoiding putting my brain where my job is, and thus you lot can have this bunch of survey questions:

1. What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Staying up all night chatting on Friday, sleeping in till about 3-4 PM, putting on an old jeans and t-shirt [no bra!], going downstairs and watching a good movie while eating lots and lots and lots. Dinner involving lots of steamed veggies. Then taking a long hot bath, with a good book. Preferably a Dilbert I've not read yet. Or some good slash. Get out of bath, dress up in my favourite 'clubbing outfit': Doc M's, fishnet tights [is that the correct name? The kind that come up to your tigh], vinyl skirt, and either my Metallica or my just-black tank top. Add one or two earrings, spiky round one wrist, eyeliner and black lipstick, and of course my ever-present taliesin. Showing off outfit to the family, getting on the train to Antwerp, going clubbing until 4-5 in the morning, then showering and crawling into bed.

That, right there, when I crawl into bed, that's my perfect happiness.

2. What is your greatest fear?
Turning out like my mum. Waking up at 40, not having written since I was 17, not having realised any of my dreams, having no real connection with my oldest child, my only daughter, and not -- as fair as said daughter knows -- even realising this.

And I'm assuming things about my mother again. Maybe her dream involved the three of us, and I guess a happy 21years of marriage is an accomplishment as well, but ... It's not my dream. My dream does not involve other people. My dream involves me, and writing, and being myself, and being generally happy. Not marriage, no relationship, no kids, no career. Just ... me. Me and my writing. Me and myself.

And that was way too serious for a survey answer. Moving on.

3. What was your most embarrassing moment?
Do you have a few hours?

4. What is your favorite item of underwear?
*looks down on self* Eh?

5. What is your greatest extravagance?
Music. Goth clothes. Tatts and piercings. Friends!

6. What objects do you always carry with you?
Walkman, wallet, keyring, pen and paper to write. Oh, and most of the time my cellphone as well.

7. Where would you like to live?
London.

8. What is your most unappealing habit?
I bite my nails.

9. What is your favorite fantasy?
Boy-on-boy loving! [Yeah, you so didn't see that one coming.] [No pun intended.]

10. Do you believe in capital punishment?
No.

11. Do you believe in monogamy?
Eh. It works for a lot of people, obviously, but I don't see it as the be all and end all in relationships. I believe people can be happy in polygamy or polyandry as well.

12. Which living person do you most despise?
Hm. *thinks* Can't think of anyone. No, not even her. That's ... hatred, maybe, and a world of hurt and history, but not despite.

13. What will you be having for supper this evening?
If all goes well, either pasta and steamed aspargus, or junk food. [Again.] Then I'll be going to try and make myself puke it all out again at the carnival. Weeeefun! :D

14. How do you relax best?
In a warm bad. In bed. With a good piece of fiction.

15. What single thing would improve the quality of your life?
A decent place to live!

16. What is your hidden talent?
My one talent is writing; I'm not sure how hidden it is.

17. What would your motto be?
"Get some sleep, you fucking freak!"

18. Toilet paper; end hanging on outside, or down along wall?
Outside. And I'm quite neurotic about that, too. Erm.

Everything except my hands and teeth. Most of all, eyes, legs and breasts.

20. How many fillings do you have?
Er. *eyes dentist lady* A lot.

21. Do you think you're good looking?
Not really. I look in the mirror and like what I see, but I don't go thinking "God, I look good today," y'know?

22. Do other people?
Apparently.

23. What do you sound like?
British. Very British. Very few people I talk to in English realise I'm not a native, which, um, is very ego-stroking. Specifically, one guy told me I sound northern-English. Oddness est.

In Dutch, I'm not sure. Proper, I think. I don't really have an accent and/or dialect. [Steve? Do I?]

24. Do you wear a watch?
No. I hate them. Can't keep them on my wrist.

25. How many coats and jackets do you own?
Five, but only 2 that I wear on a day-to-day basis.

26. Favourite pants/skirt colour?
Black.

27. Favourite top/shirt colour?
Black again. I have all the colour-coordination of a bulldog on speed. Having an all-black wardrobe is the only way to avoid fashion disasters of JC-esque size.

28. Most expensive item of clothing?
My vinyl skirt.

29. Most treasured?
Ditto. And my Doc M's.

30. Boots or shoes?
Boots. I have a tendency to twist my ankles as it is; I don't want to think about what it could be like if I'd not have any ankle support.

Scruffy.

32. Extrovert or introvert?
Introvert.

33. Are you confident?
Eh. Sort of. When it comes to opinions and expression thereof, yes. When it comes to talking to people in general, no.

In general, yes.

No.

36. Are you good academically?
No. I'm smart, but I've never learned how to study.

37. What do you have a really good knowledge of?
Men, and how they have sex. ;D History. Trivia.

Yes, but not the strategic kind. Tetris, now that was my game!

My first impulse would be to sal 'Silver' [no, not you], but you don't know him, and I'm not really a lot like him. Um. Probably the Weasly Twins.

"Freak," "You need sleep," and "Eep!"

Yeah, obviously. :) Dutch, English, smatterings of French, Spanish and German.

Yes.
