Leftovers Vest: Front Leftovers Vest: Front
Knitty's Leftovers pattern, knit all in one colour and with short row bust darts. Shoulders are a bit weird, but I haven't managed to proprly block it yet, so that might be fixed later. Turned out a lot better than I'd feared, anyway.
Leftovers Vest: Back Leftovers Vest: Back
The neckline in back comes down a bit lower than I'd anticipated, but overall, it looks nice enough.

I'm so glad I found things to make from my stash that aren't either scarves or blanket fish. :D You should try non-scarf things, it's awesome once you're done!

It's such a great solution for leftovers, and you can just knit a bunch of them, put them aside for something else, knit some more, and then put them together once you think you have enough. :D Granted, mine will be entirely made of assorted random leftovers, and thus the Ugliest Blanket Ever, bvut wev. Worst comes to worst, I can give it to my brother, who's already been hinting it would make an awesome blanket to cuddle while tripping.

(... This is the sort of conversation that just happens zhen your brothers are potheads, apparently. Heh.)

I think it looks like a piece of plate mail armor with the lower cut back piece.

Looks great over the shirt, breaking up the blueness of the rest of your outfit.

Also: Which rock did you crawl from under ? :)

\o/ And for my next trick, I shall make sparkly purple wristwarmers! And then: SOCKS!

... *fears the socks*

Thanks! I'm working on wristwarmers now, and then: socks. I fear the socks a little.

Dude, I demand pictures of the hat! That sounds awesome!

Also, I might crochet a shopping bag for my mum from old plastic bags. I think I may have finally figured out how to crochet, after all these years. \o/

Yaye!

Hey; could I ask you to do me a favour next time you're at John's? My USB stick corrupted a bunch of files, and I was wondering if you could send them to me from my computer.

Thank you!

In step by step form (and keep in mind the buttons on my mouse are swapped):

1. Start my computer.
2. On the desktop, there should be a folder called "My Briefcase" or possibly something like "Grima backup" -- it's one of the few icons on my desktop, and it looks like a brown briefcase. Open that one.
3. There's a bunch of folders in here. Select them all, left-click on them, then click SEND TO, then COMPRESSED FOLDER.
4. This will create a new zip folder in the same screen. Move that to the desktop. (Just drag and drop.)
5. Go here: http://www.yousendit.com/
6. Enter my e-mail (femgeek@gmail.com) in both the "To:" and the "From:" fields.
7. Select the zip file under "Select a File".
8. Click "Send It".

If you're asked for a password for the e-mail address, the password is "bunniesarecute". :D

Thanks again! I think I'm jinxed when it comes to USB sticks, they always eat my files, sigh.

That's fine, and thanks again! I figured it'd take a while, but once it's started, it'll get here in the end. You're a life-saver!
