E dropped by yesterday to give me presents, because she rocks. I got Lush (bweee!), and an Official Robin Hood Electronic Recurve BowTM (bweeehehehehe my co-workers won’t know what hit them :D), and the Best! Hat! Ever!

I has a hat!     I has a hat!

… Please ignore the fact that I look demented in that second picture. *cough* Also, State of the Hair, six months and two days after shaving:

I has hair!

Also, a not-that-small gripe brought on by surfing YouTube for Dubliners vids:

Dear YouTubers,

Carrickfergus is not, in fact, a song originally written by Charlotte Church. No, really.

Twitchingly yours,
Melle

Link from Anna: Sock It To Me: Competitive Knitters Get Deadly Serious. I want in! :D

More Serious Link, also from Anna: Lakota group secedes from U.S. Oh my god. I can’t wait to see the official US government reaction to this. O_O

Oh ok, I see what you mean now *is an idiot* Still, I like the song by them too, and ppl really are tards when they don't know the origins of stuff. I mean...it would be on the credits, right? *shakes head* Ppl these days.

*thumbs up* That's great tho. Your hair grows so much faster than mine. *chuckles* 6 months and all I have to show for it is a few split ends and maybe a quarter of an inch. If that. I just don't really get it - my nails grow so fast I can't keep up, but my hair wtf?

I think Carrickfergus is a traditional song, actually, and most kids these days don't check credits, sadly. (See also: "Wait, Behind Blue Eyes isn't originally by Limp Bizkit?")

My hair is being really good! Growing fast, which it always does, but also being quite nice and thick and shiny. Then again, I do take care of it. Henna every 2-3 weeks, not washing it with shampoo more than once a week, conditioning it ... (My hair regime, let me show you it ...)
