So, uh, yeah. Hi. I just realised I've not posted since the Potterdammerung. Oops? I'm not dead, I'm just pining forthe fjords easily distracted!
So, update, and let's start with seeing what I got wrong in my DH predictions, shall we?
It occured to me last night that if RAB is indeed Regulus Black, as we all seem to think it is, then Draco is going to die in Book Seven.
Wrong, but I'm not too disappointed. Receding hairline > everything else, OMG!
Hagrid's going to bite it. He has to, all Harry's father figures do, and he's the only one left.
Wrong. Yeah, so I apparently forgot about Remus here, d'oh, but I somehow never quite saw him as one of Harry's father figures. And Hagrid lived, but wasn't much fatherish in this one, so.
Percy's going to bite it.
Wrong.
If not him, some other Weasley will.
Right, sob. Oh, Fred!
Harry's going to bite it. Duh.
Right, sort of. Stupid Messiah figures. :p
If Lee is mentioned at all, I will implode from bweee.
Right. Oh yes, there was much bwee-age.
There will be a sharp decline in warverse stories as we all get jossed to hell. :(
Too soon to tell, really, but I have hope. Sure, we didn't get the several-years-of-guerilla-fighting I'm so fond of in stories, but there was a whole year of Voldie in charge and people fighting him in various ways, and the jump from there to "what if it'd taken longer for Harry to find and destroy the horcruxes?" isn't that big. Plus, stories about what everyone else was doing during that year, about which more later in this entry.
Neville will save the day in some way.
Right, booya! Neville has had it with this motherfucking snake in his motherfuckin school! <3
There Will Be Wank.
Right, and if you expected anything else, you'll need to turn in your HP Fandom Member Badge, I'm afraid.
I'm thinking of running a ficathon/challenge/exchange type thing about what everyone other than the trio was doing during the DH year. Because I love me some war!fic, and other people deserve to get the spotlight for once, dammit! So, poll:

I thought about leaving a comment to ask if you were, but then I told myself not to be paranoid. >_>;;
Anyway, ficathon! I don't think I'm up to writing, but I'd like to participate if you'd consider fitting artists into the whole thing somehow. Otherwise I'll happily just read and comment – I think this is an excellent idea. :D

Oooh, drawing would also be cool! Maybe after the stories've been posted, I could set the artists loose on them for illustrating? Or would you prefer full freedom with just the general challenge and maybe an assigned character?

On the other hand, if it's a general challenge or even assigned characters, I'd be happy to just run with it by myself, if you do decide you want to let the artists play.

So I'd say illustrating stories would be cool in that case, possibly doing author/artist collaborations before the stories are posted? (Illustrating after the deadline has passed kinda takes away the excitement, I think.)
That makes sense, although there's likely going to be a lot more artists than writers, so I'm not sure how I'd decide which authors get an artist and which ones don't.

That works! :D I'll have to see what I decide, but I definitely want artists involved as well!

Hah! *throws popcorn*
I've totally not been up to anything interesting though, so it's not like you missed much. ;D
You really think there's going to be more artists than writers? Or – re-reading – did you mean it the other way round anyway? Since you said: I'm not sure how I'd decide which authors get an artist and which ones don't. (Which is a good point – maybe people could be paired up according to which prompt they're interested in or something, or you could just ... draw straws? It really depends on what kind of challenge it ends up being, I think.)

I'm an idiot, bweee! :D

I missed your DH review! Will comment later, promise!

Yeah, that's the way I meant it, I just managed to write it the other way around, d'oh. (See also: idiot.)

Yeah, probably. I'll decide on the logistics of the challenge first, then worry about the specifics. Some artists may be up for several drawings, too, which would help a little, I think.

When Percy showed up again, I thought he was going to be the Weasley to get it. ;_; BUT NO SHE KILLED REMUS.
(Still not over it.)

But wait, would the fic involve that thing called canon? I'm not familiar with it.
