Food post! Pictures of Friday's lunch, because I was having trouble getting the photos off my camera in time to post it then, and tomorrow's lunch, in which I get a little experimental, and have trouble with wraps. Anyone know if there's a trick to those, or is it just a practice thing?

Yes, you sort of tuck the end of the wrap as tightly as possible inside, and then you fold both edges to make a sort of package and fold the rest of it so it doesn't come undone.

Takes practice, and large enough wraps -- can't be done with small ones.

Aha, see, I was following the instructions on the package, which told me to fold the edges first, and then wrap the top and bottom end. Well, that's what I did first, and it didn't work. Then I tried "spreading" the egg stuff over the bottom half and sort of rolling it along like one of those roll cake things, if you know what I mean? That seems to work ... okayish.

The sandwich people at work manage to make theirs nice and cilyndrical and stuff, and I suspect they have a machine or something, but I'm gonna ask how they do this, in case there really is just a trick. But thanks for the tip, I'm trying that next time, because if there isn't a trick as such, that'll at least help!

Volgens het Net: Bedek de wrap of tortilla met de vulling. Laat aan de rand een paar centimeters vrij. Vouw twee uiteinden dubbel en rol de wrap dan stevig op. Leg ze op een bord of schaal met de naad naar beneden.


But those things tend to fall apart when I wrap them anyway... Maybe we just need practice?

Ik denk dat ik 'm heb -- gisteravond nog eens geprobeerd, maar met veel minder eiersla, en inderdaad met de sla mee op te rollen eerder dan er een "envelopje" van te maken, en dat hielp enorm. Ik denk dat ik de wraps ook gewoon even moet opwarmen om ze zachter te maken.
