So apparently being a girl means it's highly surprising for me to do tech support. Good to know!

Also, I still don't know what I'm writing for NaNo. Am so fucked. And on top of everything else (still don't have my new debit card), my hip hurts and is making it impossible for me to sit down for any amount of time.

Somebody kill me, please?

Ridiculous. I always find the female, over-the-phone-tech-support, to be much more understanding(I find it hard to "understand" heavy mexican accents of the male variety anyway), and calming. They never cut me off, always try to help me until the last straw. And. Yeah.
A girl fixed my cable modem!

CG5 (ha! I can use that name to name my employer without breaking my rule about not naming my employer in public) has exactly one female in tech, and she was the most recently hired.

Another one has put in for the same job that I did, though, so it might be two by next week.

Oh I knowwwwwwwww. I was the senior support person at one of my companies and some people wanted to talk to my boss.

And now, I answer my phone with my name, and people ask to talk to me. I AM ME, dammit.

Oh, god, the name thing. I realise Sofie isn't as common a name over here as it is back home (where you can't swing a dead cat without hitting at least one of us), and I can deal with the "Katie?"s and the "Dodi?"s even, but "Laetitia"? The hell?
