Today is looking a little better. Supervisor very kindly foisted off a pair of sunglasses she doesn't wear on me, and um, someone sent me a Gouranga e-mail. o_O The hell?

Also, the first england match is ... just under a month from now, woo-hoo! Um, yeah, for those of you who didn't have me friended during the last World Cup, I should note: I go a leeeetle bit football crazy during World Cup Season. (Also, minorly so during Europe Cup season.) With both belgium and Scotland not even starting, I'll be supporting, in order of importace: 1) England, 2) anyone playing against Brazil, and 3) anyone playing against the Netherlands. I also get carried away sometimes--long-time readers may recall my threatening a certain ref's kneecaps at some point in 2002, for exacmple. Plus, you know, the slash. even though two-thirds of my OT3 may not even be able to play, wah!

I'm having an extremely lazy and braindead day. Number of times I've gone up to someone and announced, "Um. I've forgotten what I was going to ask/say" now up to a whopping four. And it's not even noon yet.

I'm sorry, but only if you lot play Brazil will I be able to bring myself to support you. (Which says more about my seething, fiery hatred for Brazil than anything else.) Nothing personal, cultural thing, you understand. :D

"Um. I've forgotten what I was going to ask/say"

I've been doing that a lot lately. Max does it all the time, it's adorable. :B

It's endearing! Besides, work tends to turn anyone's brain to mush. I went a year barely able to put together a sentence thanks to my last job. (Yet oddly enough I kinda miss working a front desk.)

It's the customers. They eat my brain for they have none of their own. -_-

I remember the Japanese national Rugby squad playing Scotland at Murryfield.

That was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Scotland's score went to three digits, and broke the BBC's on-screen counter.

The possibility of Owen (or Rooney, but naturally Owen is closer to my heart) not being able to play makes me want to weep. Bah.

Also, livejournal!nudging = amusing, but apparently not amusing enough to actually make me post an entry. Heh.

Yeah, I'll miss Rooney in the actual game, but the lack of Owen makes me wanna cry, because WAH! My OTP!

If you don't entry, I'm going to have to resort to more drastic measures, biatch. :P

Waah, Japan's already been bumped out. I watched it in the dorm with a mad-crazy soccer fan, and we screamed at the screen a lot. And then they lost and we moped.

But! Australia's in there! For the first time in like, 20 years or something. I was watching the qualifying match, it went all the way to a... kick-off? You know. It was STRESSFUL but oh god did a lot of people get drunk afterwards. I don't normally support Australia in sports, because our ego's just too damn big, but I support them in soccer. And the Olympics. But NZ moreso, but I don't know if they're any good at soccer.... *ramble, ramble*

Football, dammit! It's called football, not soccer! ,em>*shakes tiny impotent fist*

... Sorry, right. Ahem.

Oh, and the "kick-off" is probably a penalty shootout, no?
