So, um, in bulletpoint form because otherwise this will be a jumble of randomness:

• Bit heavy-handed with the "OMG the Doctor is LONELY!" character development, like, we get it already, you just told us last week, but I'm not complaining too much because WOOBIE! Seriously, if you check Ten's tag, it says right there, "100% woobie." (Nine's tag, obviously, says "80% awesome, 15% woobie, 5% ears.")
• Rose and mickey wandering through the spaceship with massive guns: So. Hot.
• My Mickey-love groweth by leaps and bounds. At the end of the episode, when he takes Rose out of the room so the Doctor can brood in peace, awwww.

For the first time, Dr Who frightened me. Seriously, the clockwork drones were creepy as hell and I very nearly succumbed to the urge to hide behind the sofa.

• I had an AU bunny over here:
  

  yonmei: I kept thinking, hey, it's a ship from the 51st century, and who else is from the 51st century? Yes, that's right, CAPTAIN JACK. Come on. Someone mention him!
  Me: Oooh, I think I just had an AU vision in which the Doctor doesn't get deus ex machina'ed out of France, and Jack--maybe even a pre-Doctor Jack?--comes in to save Rose and Mickey from the ship because he can totally fly the TARDIS, and there may or may not be some threesomeness there.
  

  Seriously, people, this needs to be written.

I was kinda lukewarm about Mickey until TPotW, when he helped Rose get back to the Doctor, and then SR, in whcih he was adorable and kicked arse, and OMG, with the big gun in TGitF and the HOT! Um, yeah. Hi.

(I keep imagining Jack being back on the TARDIS, and Mickey and Rose giggling in a corner because Jack does the TARDIS-stroking thing Rose and Sarah Jane mentioned in SR. Hee hee. HEE!)
