And now, we clean. (Er, at last.) Personal goal for today: Either clear out (not clean, but clear out) my bedroom, or at least find my gorram dice, which have to be somewhere in there. *deep breath*
[ETA] Result after the first 50-minute session: About half of the actual bad rubbish cleared. If I could the wardrobe rubbish, it's about a third. And by "cleared" I mean I've dragged it out of my bedroom and sorted it into "Clothes that need washing," "Clothes that don't need washing," "Paper to toss," "Rubbish," "Yarn and related crap," "Books," and "All other assorted crap." Dice: still MIA. But at least I've found most of my hair stuff, which means that hey, I can bleach and cut my hair tomorrow![/ETA]
[ETA2] Second session done, and most of the rubbish is cleared, w00t! I can see my floor again! Can't quite decide yet what to do now, but I don't really want to stop yet. Just one more session! Maybe I'll start sorting the Assorted Crap into seperate bags? Or something. Or do a load of laundry?
Tomorrow will be mostly laundry and dishes, and sorting the rest of the crap, including the stuff in the wardrobe and the lounge, into black bags. Monday will be actual cleaning day, and packing all the rubbish into boxes and stuff. And, hopefully, putting my books in the bookcases, if I can manage to remember to call Argos and finally get them to fucking deliver them. Ahem. And then Tuesday, I'll actually have a whole day off with no cleaning or work, in a nice, clean apartment, for the first time in ... way too long, frankly.
Aaand my landlord just called to arrange the bi-yearly maintenance check on the flat, so I have to get it clean by Thursday. Right. [/ETA2]
[ETA3] Also, dice? Still MIA. o_O I know I didn't take them anywhere, so I'm baffled now. I don't think they're in the wardrobe, but maybe I should start unloading that, as well. Except I just got a huge case of the oh-god-so-tired-and-sleepies, so maybe not. [/ETA3]
[ETA4] Yeah, I know no one's actually reading this, but I need to babble to myself a bit. First load of laundry is in the machine, which means I'm currently pantsless, whee! :D Have to keep an eye on how much electricity this uses, though, as between this and actually switching the water heater on to do the dishes, today may be a high-electricity day. (I'm on prepaid electricity, and down to the last £5 of my emergency credit, which'll have to last me through Tuesday. May have to put off the rest of the laundry until Wednesday, if it turns out it'll be too much.
Aaanyway, first order of business: Sort out the kitchen so I can actually do the dishes. Right.[/ETA4]
[ETA5] Kitchen is cleared out enough that I can do the dishes, as soon as the water's heated up, and my desk and table are at least largely cleared off. Go Team Melle! And the washing machine doesn't seem to be using too much electricity, so I'll likely get done with the laundry before Wednesday, too. (Ironing is another matter, but I'll probable just hang my stuff up unironed and iron on a piece-by-piece basis as needed, rather than letting it sit around and cumple even more waiting for me to get it done.)
Next up: Dishes, and the rest of the bedroom sorting. And hanging up this load of laundry the moment the cycle is finished, self![/ETA5]
[ETA6] Laundry cycle is finally done, and currently drying. Sadly, it took a bit more electricity than I'd anticipated, especially together with the water heater, so I'm putting off more loads until Monday at the earliest, when I'll have a better idea of how much the rest of this will take. I'll have to do at least one more load with my bed linen and clothes for work on Wednesday, but the rest may have to wait. (Possibly even until next weekend, as I don't fancy having laundry drying all over the place when my landlord visits. I like these people, but they don't really need to see my knickers hanging out, you know?
Dishes are continueing apace, a little over one third done. Once those are done, I'll do a quick straightening of the cupboards, cleaning the work surface and stuff, and then I'll tackle the lounge and the rest of the bedroom. I think.[/ETA6]
