*blink* Well, huh. Now iTunes is acting like there wasn't a problem in the first place, though it did tell me that "this ipod is linked to another library," and did I want to link it to this library? I can't help but feel like I've just witnessed the resolution of some sort of marital dispute. Samwise had a bad day at work (crashed) and took it out on Legolas (the initial problem), who, being a typical elf, spent the next week sulking and giving Samwise the silent treatment even though Sam, by now, has completely forgotten what the original argument was about and eventually sulks off to the pub with Haldir (work computer) and ends up sleeping over at Haldir's place, which makes Legolas so jealous he decides to start talking to Samwiswe again so he can stake his claim ("Hey! This iPod's been cheating on me! I'm taking him back and erasing all memory of that other library, the hussy."), and they live happily ever after.

... My electronics are having soap-opera-worthy fits and affairs. Meanwhile, the most exciting thing that happens in my love life is discovering new porn online. This is so unfair.

Linking it to the library on the work PC's iTunes might've just been enough to spur your iTunes into action - it probably overwrote some corrupted data which was causing problems.

Isn't technology weird?

I figured that was probably what happened, yeah, but I thought I'd have to reinstall iTunes again at least to get it to work at home, now.

Oh, yes. People often accuse me of antropomorphising my computer and related things, but it's the best way to make some of this shit make sense. I.T.: 50% knowledge, 50% voodoo. (Note to self: Next time, just sacrifice a chicken.)
