So neither Scotland nor Belgium have made it into the World Cup this year, which rather limits my list of countries to support. Sigh. England had better make it far, or I'll be sulking a lot.

So, any Christmas songs you'd care to toss at me? I'm easy. (Feel free to request anything off my song list in return, just be aware I'll likely not be able to upload it until Friday.)

Ethics/etiquette question of the day: If noe has a 45 minute training session on something that ould be covered in 15 minutes, is one allowed to bring one's knitting to aforementioned training session? Even if there's only about four people in the training session? No? Feh.

I'm slowly trying to catch up on my friendslist from this weekend, BTW, but it may take me a bit, and I may miss stuff. Anything important, drop me a comment. In fact, drop me a comment anyway!

*gratuitous comment*

Training sucks. Bring the knitting, maybe they'll get the message and be more efficient in future.

Decided against it in the end, which left me free to fully appreciate the grammar issues (UTILIZATION IS NOT A GODDAMNED WORD DIE DIE DIE STABBITY STAB DIE!) and horrid USAian accent in the video they made us watch. My poor, abused ears!

*glomps* Bring the knitting! You will be the envy of those four other bored people.

I'm getting server errors on these:
Paul McCartney - Wonderful Christmas Time
Queen - Thank God It's Christmas
Bryan Adams - Something About Christmastime

And runtime errors on these:
Dean Martin - Let It Snow
John Lennon - Happy Christmas
Amy Grant - Winter Wonderland

:( Try linking again? Might be something wrong there ...

Arrrgh! There seems to be something wonky with YSI at the moment, I got the same from the original email links, and I can't get to the main page either at the moment to re-upload. Want me to email them to you?

From: [identity profile] bubosquared.livejournal.com

I don't know that my e-mail can take the strain, sadly. :( If you don't mind trying again tomorrow? (Or I'll try to dl again tomorrow.)

Okay. We can try againg tomorrow, no problems. I can check a bit later if YSI works and if the links don't I'll upload them again.

<poke* Have you sent email to me since the Escapade planning message I sent out to you, Molly, and Meagan? I haven't gotten any if you have attempted it...

Well look at that. My comment has no content. It should say this:

*poke* Have you sent me email since the response to the Escapade email I sent you, Molly, and Meagan? If you have, I haven't gotten it.

i dislike anytime i'm supposed to learn but it isn't participation-learning. i can remember things a lot better if i'm doing something. (well, not knitting, actually. i have an attention-span thing. but maybe dancing? dude. imagine how awesome classes would be if you had to dance your lesson.)

(maybe it's just me.)

See, I learn best by listening, and best of all if I can occupy my hands with something repetetive like knitting. It's annoying that so many people can't seem to understand that not everyone learns the same way. :(

That said, not that I had to even pay attention to this "training" session, but that's another gripe entirely.

Sunday!

I sent you a text message on Friday -- I don't think you got it. But anyway, this Sunday for Fireflyness?

From: [identity profile] bubosquared.livejournal.com

I got it! I just ran out of credit to reply. :D Sunday sounds good. Suggest a time?

From: [identity profile] starbrow.livejournal.com

Sunday around noon sound good? We won't get all the way through the Firefly, but we can do a trade -- I'll take your S:AAB home with me and leave my Firefly with you?

It'll be just me joining you; John has urgent Christmas shopping to do and I think he'd be happier not hearing the slashgirl squeeing anyway. ;)

However, I will be giving you birthday/Christmas pressies from both of us! :)

Sounds good to me! I'll provide soup for lunch, how about that? :D

Whee, presents! Mine to you lot wll be late, but, er, if you want something knitted, I do take requests. :D

From: [identity profile] starbrow.livejournal.com

Soup is yummy and delicious. Shall I bring anything? I might make bread tonight and bring.

Something knitted...hmm. Shall have to see.

From: [identity profile] bubosquared.livejournal.com

Bread would be excellent! Let me know if I need to buy some or not.

I can point you to some cool patterns if you have a vague idea of something you'd like. :D

From: [identity profile] starbrow.livejournal.com

*grin*

I want a Jayne hat, but you have to have seen Firefly all the way through for that

I did not get around to making bread, for I went shopping and bought everything and now I have to wrap it all! However, I will buy some and bring it with me, so no need to get some yourself.

See you around noon!

From: [identity profile] bubosquared.livejournal.com

I've seen mention of these Jayne hats, and they look easy enough to make. One Jayne hat for you!

Yay bread! I thought about baking some, but my kitchen isn't clean enough for it right now. *eyedart* See you then!
