.... Irish bloke across the aisle is singing Elvis. o_O Oh hey, now they're whistling Christmas songs, that's better!
Also, er, I bought some more smelly stuff off
kaitoujeanne:
- Anne Bonny: A blend of Indonesian red patchouli, red sandalwood, and frankincense. Mmmm, pirates. Also, exotic!
- Fae: A brilliant, ethereal scent: white musk, bergamot, heliotrope, peach and oakmoss. Bit of a gamble, because I have a knee-jerk "Ew!" reaction to any musk scent, especially white musk, but Cleo liked it, so I'll give it a go.
- Lolita: Bright, sweet and youthful, but swelling with a poisonous sexuality. Glittering heliotrope, honeysuckle, orange blossom and lemon verbena. Oh, right, like I was't gonna end up trying this one just for the name. :D
- O (Because I can't wait for my CnS, no.)
- Florence: The pearl of the Italian Renaissance. Elegant iris, bright berries, gilded amber and velvety spices. (Gender neutral) Definitely a name-based decision again. Mmm, Italy.
- Honey Moon: can't find description on the site, since it's no longer in stock, but Deo liked it a lot, so I figured 'd better snatch it up while I had a chance.
Shaddup, I know.

And you know, I'd skimmed over the bit about her asking to be taken to the station--because that actually buts this in a different light still. Because you know, that would have been my first reaction, and we don't know exactly how scary or intimidating the guy was in reaction to that, so. Yeah, I suspect that I probably would actually have reacted the same.
As to the guy's normality ... it may be that the guy only seemed normal because he'd never had a chance to pull this shite with "official sanction"--or rather, with a conventient excuse. I ... I think I kinda have to believe, for the sake of my own sanity, that he knew the situation was fucked-up but went along with it because it provided him a convenient excuse once he got caught. I hope. Because I can't not believe that most people would refuse to go along with that crap. (I know, there's several cases known, but that's because most people would get that call and just hang up, because dude, obvious prank call much, so the cases where it didn't work were just never reported.)

I really want to believe that about that guy as well -- I kind of hope that, but... I don't know. Coupled with my decreasing view of humanity as a whole (though not as individuals, generally) and the thing where the first thing he did when he got home -- before anyone even really knew what he'd done -- was ring up a friend and say that he'd felt he'd done something really wrong...
...
though honestly, even if he is a nice and good guy who just gave in to those dark urges within humanity, I still think he should be prosecuted as a rapist, or a... kidnapper? I don't know, something to do with robbing someone of their liberty and rights, because no matter what else, he did it and he shouldn't have. And if he was just a normal guy, possibly I never want to go outside my house again, ever. =_=
