So I just bought a Thermos flask, and figured I'd actually read the instructions for once in my life, and um. Under "Use and Care": Do not look directly into flask when filling. o_O Note also that this sentence does not appear in either the Dutch or French versions of the instructions, and as far as I can see it's not in the German one, either. Is there something in Thermos flasks that could be lethal to English-speakers?

I gather that the warning is in case of the steam coming back but still.

Probably, yeah, cause then it says "Fill at arm's length," but all the other languages just say to fill at arm's length. o_O
