My Ravenclaw hat, front view. The colours are actually the same as my scarf, but they're all dark in this picture.

More yarn!
Pretty dark teal yarn, which you can't see properly in this photo, black yarn for gloves, and a random ball of rainbow-y yarn.

Pullovers To Frog
Pullovers to recycle the yarn from. Nice colour, but not my colour, and not my size, either.

IT IS!! I'm almost tempted to try out knitting. :p

I can't believe it was only £12, that's practically free. Bargains like that ROCK.

Do eet! It's fun and easy!

I know, and it's like new, too. I don't think it was worn more than once, even!

I wiiiiiiiill! I'll have a word with mum, see if I can't borrow some needles and yarn so I can try it out.

Piece of advice: start with chunky yarn and thickish needles. Most beginners knit too tight in the beginning, and working with thick needles and yarn helps counteract that a little.

Aah, thanks! :) I'll ask mum for some thickish needles then, I'm pretty sure she has all the sizes.

Well, "thickish" in Mellespeak = size 5ish, which is good for chunky yarn. I tend to use a size bigger than advised, cause I tend to knit quite tight, and it balances out.
