Establishment name of the day: Greystoke Manor. If I hear anything vaguely money-like, I'm so hanging up. Heh.

Gran has arrived safe and sound. We're going shopping this afternoon, yay! Mostly yarn shopping, but other stuff as well. Mmm, capitalism ...

Triangular Scarf/Shawl

For: Myself.
Pattern: This one, the stockinette version.
Colours: Assorted leftovers, like here, with dark red as the uniting colour

Progress:

68 / 250
(27.2%)

Of course, that final figure is a complete guesstimate, and it's likely to take me longer and longer to finish a row, because the rows keep gettting longer, but we'll see. right now, the widest part is just wider than my shoulders, so really ideally it would be about three times that wide, right? Hrm, we'll see.

I have to ask, how do you make those little progress bars? they're well cool.

There used to be a form for them, but sine that went down, I re-uploaded the images myself and hand-adjust the code. (I may end up putting up a form for it, if I can figure out how to do that. Let's see if I can do this ...

<table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="5">
<tr>
<td>
<table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
<tr>
<td>
<img src="http://www.boomspeed.com/femgeek/pel_br.gif" width="6" height="22" border="0"><img src="http://www.boomspeed.com/femgeek/pk_br.gif" width="PERCENTAGE" height="22" border="0"><img src="http://www.boomspeed.com/femgeek/pc_br.gif" width="4" height="22" border="0"><img src="http://www.boomspeed.com/femgeek/pr.gif" width="100-PERCENTAGE" height="22" border="0"><img src="http://www.boomspeed.com/femgeek/per.gif" width="6" height="22" border="0">
</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><div align="center">
<strong>DONE</strong> / TOTAL<br />
(PERCENTAGE%)
</div></td>
</tr>
</table>
</td>
</tr>
</table>

Just replace DONE with the number of lines/words/whatever you've already done, TOTAL with the total number you have to do, PERCENTAGE with the percentage you've done (easy enough to calculate, just divide DONE by TOTAL and then multiply by 100), and 100-PERCENTAGE is, obviously 100 minus the percentage you've done. (In the HTML, those obviously should be rounded off to a whole number.)

So, for example, the code for the bar above (which is now actually correct is:

<table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="5">
<tr>
<td>
<table border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
<tr>
<td>
<img src="http://www.boomspeed.com/femgeek/pel_br.gif" width="6" height="22" border="0"><img src="http://www.boomspeed.com/femgeek/pk_br.gif" width="27" height="22" border="0"><img src="http://www.boomspeed.com/femgeek/pc_br.gif" width="4" height="22" border="0"><img src="http://www.boomspeed.com/femgeek/pr.gif" width="73" height="22" border="0"><img src="http://www.boomspeed.com/femgeek/per.gif" width="6" height="22" border="0">
</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><div align="center">
<strong>68</strong> / 250<br />
(27.2%)
</div></td>
</tr>
</table> </td> </tr> </table>
