Egg in a hat! Egg in a hat!
So I was knitting this mini version of a beany hat to try out a patter, and then when it was done I realised it was about egg-sized, and um. Yes. I'll be over in the corner now.

It seriously looks like a Mongol Hat. I'm tempted to icon it for sheer WTF value.

It could also be Beatles hair, especially paired with the egg cup that looks like a red jacket pulled up to the chin.

What're you trying to knit? I'm a beginner myself, and the best way to learn is to practice. :D Scarves are good for this. *nod*

Hee! Okay, what're you having problems with? Do you know how to cast on and how to knit and purl?

That's so cute! I'm the opposite kind of dork, I love crocheting. Never really could get the hang of knitting... I always have to use my fingers waaay too much.

...anyway, on with why I'm actually here: I just created a comm, [profile] cabledeadpool, so I thought I'd let you know since you have Cable/Deadpool listed in your interests. So, feel free to come check it out! ^^

Comm! Yay!

See, I've tried crocheting, and every time I try and do just a simple square for practice I end up with something looking like a teapot (no, seriously!). So I just knit instead. :D

I just stared at it for a long while, and then I burst into laughter. Am keeping this for getting me out of moods and funks and such.

Is there a pattern for your paneled scarf? I'm almost done with my sweater and looking for something in panels.

Glad to be of assistance, or at least of amusement. :D

Not really a pattern, no. I use this stitch, casting on (I think) about 37 stitches, and the panels on mine are 24 rows. Mine is about 14 panels total, I think, but I tend to kinda play it by ear.
