Crap. My bedroom smells like roasted barley, or whatever the smell is that drifts this way from the breweries. Not a bad smell, per se, but not something I like to have in my bedroom. That'll teach me to leave me window open all evening.

I love that smell. When I was little, I used to think it smelled like Marmite looks - a rich dark brown scent.

However, give five years or so, and you'll barely notice except when it's really strong... and after 38 years, usually someone else will have to point it out to you.

Oh, good, someone else who actually likes it! Everyone else seems to hate it, but I think it smells lovely.

I might feel differently about it if it were a strange smell or if I lived very near one of the breweries... but I think it's a delicious smell.

Well, I live relatively near a brewery, but I still like it. It smells kinda like bread!
