*eyes female part of friendslist* Are we synching, or what?

You get angry, I curl up in a ball and cry. We all have different ways of coping. lol...

From: [identity profile] bubosquared.livejournal.com

Actually, I do that too. It's just that my reaction to the "want to curl up and cry" feeling is to get snarly and annoyed.

... My coping skillz are pastede on yay?

Aaargh! Run for the hills! :D

I kinda hope I, at least, am synching with part of my flist. Cause that'd mean I'd have a regular cycle!

From: [identity profile] austen.livejournal.com

Mine is over, w00t. And I just started taking OCs that will ensure that I don't get anything for three consecutive months. :D!

From: [identity profile] bubosquared.livejournal.com

That's at least three of us who just ended today. O_o

And god, I wish I could get ... Essure, or whatever that procedure is where they just remove the uterine lining and you keep your hormone cycle (important for people with a family history of osteoperosis, like me) but you no longer bleed. WAAAANT! Unfortunately, at 24, I don't think I'm old enough to get any procedure done that'll leave me sterile. Bugger.

I really want to run a study about women in close-knit online groups synching up. Because I remember this happening on a mailing list once, where like half of us synched up perfectly, and that's not supposed to happen over the internet! Biologically unsound! But hey, I had a regular cycle for a few months, there.

Heh. That would be pretty interesting. I know that it's quiet normal if you're living at the same place but the internet thing is weird.

From: [identity profile] bubosquared.livejournal.com

So did mine. I think about half a dozen of us just quit, and another half a dozen are in the middle of theirs. O_o

You told me I wasn't on that filter, right?

No, this wasn't actually TMIish, I just want to make sure.

From: [identity profile] bubosquared.livejournal.com

Hee! No, you're not. Trust me, you'll know if you are. There'll be mentions of blood and actual girly parts, and what to do when the former starts gushing out of the latter. (Er ... Sorry?)

From: [identity profile] ashenmote.livejournal.com

Eeeek. Girly parts!
*hides*
No, problem. :) I just wanted to make sure because you are so forgetful sometimes. *hint, hint*

Yay for penises!

*runs and hides*

Randomly: are you planning to go to Beltane? You should...

From: [identity profile] bubosquared.livejournal.com

Oooh, that's this weekend, isn't it? I'd love to go. I'm assuming you and E will be going? Because I'm not that good with crowds on my own.

From: [identity profile] bubosquared.livejournal.com

I thought it was Saturday? Hm, not sure if I'm up for anything tonight, to be honest. I have a bunch of cleaning yet to do. :/ Also, wasn't aware I'd need tickets.

You should be able to get one on the gate, or get them from The Hub: https://www.hubtickets.co.uk/show.asp?code=1945 (which is at the top end of the Royal Mile).

I could order them for you and go and pick them up after my copy of Mac OS X 10.4 gets delivered?

From: [identity profile] bubosquared.livejournal.com

Thanks, if I feel up to coming, I'll just get tickets at the gate. What time does it start, BTW?

I think the gates open at 6:30, and it's due to start at 9pm. If you want, we could arrange to meet up on the way in?

From: [identity profile] bubosquared.livejournal.com

I'll get back to you on that--it really depends on how I'm feeling tonight, and chances are, I won't be up for it. (I'm ... somewhat paranoid about large groups of people.) :/ If you've not heard from me by 6:30, assume I'll not be there, kay?

Okay.

While there are a lot of people there, it's fairly easy to find a space to yourself. I'm not known for my fondness of large groups of people, and even though it's a /fire/ festival, I didn't freak out last year.

i would like to note that last month, on a day when all four of the female population of my workplace were working together, we all had our periods. AHAHAHA. except not.

From: [identity profile] bubosquared.livejournal.com

Oooh, yeah. When I lived at home, there was this year or so when my mum'd just gone back on the pill for her osteoperosis, and we synched. (Normally, we're both wildly irregular.) On the one hand, yay for regular periods! On the other hand, my mum and I both have white-hot tempers to begin with, and when we were synched ... Not a pretty picture, let me tell you!

(I'm a lot less grumpy about it these days, now that I have a menstrual cup and don't wake up looking like my bed's a murder scene for three consecutive mornings every month. Heh.)
