Dear story,

Why oh why art thou not writing thyself?

Woe,
Melle

And a meme, stolen from [livejournal.com profile] babyofthegoup: I love looking at people's icons, but I don't always get them--I often wonder stuff like, "Who's that guy?" or "Where's that quote from?" but I tend not to ask, for various reasons. So come on, here are my icons. Pick one (or more!) you're curious about, and I'll try to explain it. Or at least explain what I like about it.

That's the thing about stories; you have to write them.

Stupid stories not writing themselves. Why can I not just syphon this thing from my head into yours instead of going through this whole "words" thing?

Also, wow you've written in a bazillion fandoms and are old and crotchety.

... I'd protest, but it's true. Old! Crotchety! And I actually probably left out half of my fandoms. Sigh.

Now explain the parsley & chives icon, preferably not using references I won't understand. ::is evil::

Okay, it all started with this quote:

Amy: Aw. *pet* You're not old, though! Are young and fresh!
Melle: You make me sound like parsley, yo.
Amy: Um. Everyone likes parsley?
Melle: *snort*
Amy: *grin*
Melle: *pat*
Amy: Eh? Why am I getting patted by the parsley?

We sort of got on a tangent from there, decided that if I'm pasley, [livejournal.com profile] ruby_fruit (Amy) is chives, and then realised that would make a kick-ass name for a comic duo, and since we tend to get on crack when talking to each other and bring the unintentional funny, I came up with that icon. She has the same one. :)
