Worst. Phone call. Ever. I pick up, I do my shpiel, and it's five minutes (and twenty seconds!) later before I can get another word in edgewise. Total call time: 13:51. Usual call time for this problem: around five minutes, provided that the caller can state their problem in five sentences or less, and that they don't feel the need to repeat themselves a gazillion goddamn times.

Brain go "Bzzt*fry*" now.

I did the call center thingie for ADSL just now. Got on the phone some very queer sounding slightly arrogant Antwerp-accented young guy. 8 mins at 42 cents a second. But the problem is solved. And I bet he's telling his co-workers all about the idiot who just phoned him.
but he wasn't singing.
And I think he was wearing Bikkembergs instead of Doc's.

Oh, dude, eight minutes for tech support is not much, and um, frankly? I had a bad experience with the TS for ADSL when I got mine installed the first time as well. (The second time I had to call I got very friendly people, although they did send me aroun in circles for a bit. Oi.) There's assholes on both sides of the phone, for sure.

oh, he was pretty nice about it, but I could feel he was getting irritated with me :)
