(And god. Pep rallies. Thankfully, the only thing like that I had to endure was graduation, as principals aren't really into the whole "Welcome to my school, the best school in the world" type of thing on first days, over in Belgium. At least, not in state schools.)
Actually, I think it was picked for the irony. It was actually quite cool, because a lot of people burst out laughing, and you could sort of identify the nerds in the crowd by the ones who got the joke.
(And you know, if they'd play the Imperial March whenever I walked into the room, I'd actually enjoy my job a lot more. I don't want to be loved at work, I want to be FEARED! And appropriately sountracked.)
