Adobe are pulling their CS and TS from Sykes, which means that effective 28 January, unless I find another job either internally or externally, I will be out of a job.

Tell me about it. Two and a half months. I'm not even halfway through my probationary period yet!

Basically, though, I don't work directly for Adobe, but for call center that has "Client Groups" for several clients, including Adobe. And Adobe are now no longer paying Sykes to organise the CS and TS for them, which means bye by job. Argh.

I'm vaguely considering applying for the English-only job in the (small) Apple departement. It has its pros and its cons, including the fact that it's evening/night hours, which could be either a pro or a con, or both.

Yeah, and they're already trying to recruit us for internal jobs, which is good, but I am NOT starting in a new departement on MONDAY! (Interview TODAY? No?!?)

Yeah, but I'm not entirely sure if I want an internal job. Proctor and Gamble sounds okay and I'm the only one from this group who is eligible for it (has to be Belgian), and I'd work with fellow Belgians, which is nice, but eh. I'd like, if possible, to get a job closer to the city centre. But I've applied anyway, even if it's just as a backup.

Yahg. At least there's two weeks notice here--still not as much as the three months I'm used to in Belgium, but okay, and if it comes to it, I'll get the don't come Monday thing too, in that I'll essentially have two weeks off, paid.

And I'm not leaving Edinburgh, no way, no how, though I'm still undecided on whether to stay internal or look for a job somewhere else entirely. It ought to be easier finding a decent job now that I'm already here, and there's not that many Dutch-speakers around. OTOH, there's also not that much demand. :/

Thanks. I've tried for P&G mainly to have an ace in the hole, but I'm definitely also looking externally. Technically, I'm still in my probationary period and they could theoretically ask that I pay them back a portion of my flight over, but fuck them. They can try, but I'll raise almighty hell about it.
