Imagine talking to someone and having a sudden urge to take a bite out of your mobile/lick your phone. It would certainly make for an interesting conversation...

"... Melle, I think your dog just got hold of the phone! Wait, since when have you got a dog?"

Or if someone annoying's on the other side, you can just eat your mobile. "Whoops. Sorry, got a bit peckish. Talk to you whenever I get a new phone!"
