Does anyone know how to give a (colour) photo a faded and oldish look? Like it's been in a drawer for a decade or two, or maybe hangning on a wall in the sun for a few years?

Sepia's a bit too old, I think. I was thinking of something like a colour photograph taken twoenty years ago and left to fade, or that's been sunfaded.

In Photoshop, try fooling around with the "Levels..." box. Access it from the "Image" menu, inside "Adjust". Try dragging the three triangular sliders to get different brightness/contrast effects.
If you want to give it a reddish hue, like it's lost the blue pigment (as old color photos tend to do), choose "Color Balance" from "Image" > "Adjust". Another method would be to use the "Hue/Saturation" command in "Image" > "Adjust".
