So a whole bunch of people friended me, most of them because of Escapade, I think, and I figure this is as good a time as any to make a few points.

    • Point one: I will, as a rule, friend back those who friend me. In fact, with just about all of you, I already have. :)
    • Point two: The exception to this is if we have neither friends nor interests in common, and nothing in your recent entries makes me understand why you'd be interested in my life.
    • Point three: Right now, point twoapplies to two of you, and if you're one of them (or hell, even if you're not), leave a comment here and let me know why you friended me. I know I'm sounding a bit bitchy, but I prefer to know why I'm being randomly friended. I promise, I won't bite if your reason is completely weird and random, I just like to know. :)
    • Point four: If at any time you decide I'm not what you were looking for, please don't feel like you have to keep me friended anyway so as to not offend me. I won't be, and even if I am, I'll get over it. I promise.
    • Point five: In return, I reserve the right to defriend if you're no longer interesting. (So entertain me, bitches! ;)

And I apologise for the formalities, but I needed to make some things clear before I end up fleeing from LJ again.

I'm sorry!

I. Um. Obviously am still having some issues with LJ and its politics. So I'm laying low and shit.

But while I have you here, do you think there'd be any UK/European slashers interested in some sort of informal con/gettogether? There's only one European slash con I know of, and I'm a bit leery of it due to the organisers' anti-RPS stances, but I'd love to hang out with a bunch of slashers again.

(Which should become a lot easier if I do end up moving to the UK in a few months, but that's another story. So how you doin'?)

Dude, you should check out Connotations, because that had a brilliant RPF debate at the last con -- no "you're all SATAN!", just a lot of teasing and giggling on both sides.

And, yes! Get together! Mellow! Or something!

Huh. That was what I was thinking of, actually, but I was basing it mostly on the con zine rules, so perhaps I should stop jumping to conclusions, hm? The other problem with that con is that I don't think I'd know anyone there.

The best part of Escapade, though, for me at least, was hanging out with other slashers, so just doing that would rock. We could hang out and have drinks (but no margharitas for me, apparently I'm allergic to them) and scar everyone around us as we talk about gay porn at length! :D

[livejournal.com profile] webkin used to be the master of improvised con's. I've been to two of hers but she's had dozens. Not any recently though, I'm talking about 5 years ago. She's no slasher but she knows how to get people together, find a place to stay, well, for at most 30 people. I'm not so sure if she'll be any help if you're planning to bring 500, not including their characters and fandoms.
