There's apparently this LJ chain letter type thing going around to promote The Passion. You can see an example here. Bit of pre-emtpive striking here in case any anons (and of course it'd be anon, not even the guts to sign their name) get any ideas: Pull this shit with me at your own risk. I will delete the comment, ban you, and disable anon comments for the time being if you persist. If I want to pimp something in my LJ I'll do it myself, thanks, and I'll do it once I've actually seen the bloody movie and decided that the protagonist getting hit by lighting was not, in fact, a message from God to Mel fucking Gibson to shut his gob already.

Can you tell this kinda thing annoys me?

See, I'm actually planning to go see the movie, because it does sound like an interesting idea, even though Mel Gibson + religion = twitchy Melle, but this new trend of pimping all matter of religious stuff on LJ through anon comments (there's another example here and here and I think in a number of other posts in that community, and in others) is getting on my nerves. I mean, come on, it's LiveJournal, people! While I've seen/had some pretty good religious discussions on here, I don't think most LJers will react favourably to having propaganda shoved up their noses.

(Woo, excuse to use my soapbox icon! *pets it*)

Oh, yeah, I've seen that. It's pretty sad that my 70-year old, catholic grandmother, who completely out of the blue asked me if I was still on the pill because "you could get raped in America!", is a lot more open-minded about gay marriage than this person. Sigh.
