2004 in review:

January

Relatively uneventful save for the fact that I spent a large chunk of it without internet access at home. Also, had a minor revival of popslash lust, and briefly considered smoking pot. (At least now I know I was right about the whole not attempting to write under the influence thing.) I was already counting down to OotP,

On the down side, I was still having issues with Jess. I did thankfully manage to eventually deal with it and take her off my friends list and admit our friendship was over, but it took me a lot of courage and wibbling.

And then of course there was the Worst Pickup Line Ever.

February

I got annoyed at the whole One True Love concept, and also at Times New Roman, and I whined about LJ and considered leaving, and eventually left for an on-site blog at the end of the month.

[livejournal.com profile] sandrine taunted me with Liam/Robbie, and [livejournal.com profile] ktnb, [livejournal.com profile] rsadelle, [livejournal.com profile] megolas and I experienced the epitome of collective geekdom.

And of course I became completely enamoured with cooking.

March

Was over at the on-site blog, so there's not much left to report on. Mostly, sat around, wrote, complained about petty things, as usual. I did, however, finally finish the Evil Het Story.

April

Had a near-breakdown at my parents about financial stuff, which is now resolved, finally, and psychological shit I never did get help for, but I haven't had a freak-out since, so I think it's manageable now. That pretty much sums up my month, yes.

May

Belgium nearly won Eurovision, much to my complete and utter bafflement.

June

I rewrote two stories for Rescribe and had a mental meltdown because of one of these. Also, Order of the Phoenix came out while [livejournal.com profile] elfiepike was here for a week, and we read it in tag-team.

July

I did blogathon, and enjoyed it toroughly. Also, gave up fish, which I'm still having problems with even now.

August, September, October

Deleted this LJ and hid over on [livejournal.com profile] undercover_me for a few months, in order to deal with flist issues. Possibly not the most constructive way to deal, but it worked. Not much else of note happened.

November

Wrote 19,000 words for NaNoWriMo, and came back to this LJ, paid account and all. I also fell in love all over again with Raymond Feist's books.

Also had a week from hell.

December

Had dinner with mum to celebrate being exactly half her age. Felt vaguely old. Got a lot of money back from taxes.

Trilogy Tuesday happened, RotK blew me completely away, I turned 23, discovered the beauty that is The O.C., met Belgian slashers, and generally had a pretty good time.

I only made one resolution this year, which is to have at least € 2,000 ($ 2,500) saved by the end of the year. At € 250/month, that should be more than doable even including some unexpected expenses and things to buy for myself.
