...

I just read Tintin slash.

My life cannot get any stranger, I don't think.

Had I ever read Tintin, and were I awake, I'd read it, you know.

You explain to me why Tintin slash is so much worse than HP slash...

Never got around to it, somehow. I was more of a Suske en Wiske reader, myself. Go ahead and laugh.

My parents had a whole stack of them, which I inherited. *g* I went to school in Wallony, so my mother insisted I read Flemish stuff. So I could learn a bit of ABN and, more importantly, a bit of spelling. S & W was very handy like that -- simple, and yet not too simple. And I don't care what people say; it's quite informative, too. And of course, I simply loved Suske and Wiske. Come to think of it, I wrote my first piece of fanfic based on S & W. Not that I realised it at the time.

Now Tintin is originally French, so not something my mother would be looking to buy for me. I'm sure I saw a... um... tekenfilm about Tintin once, but that's it I'm afraid. An entire hole in my culture. *g*

(Yeah, I'm kind of cleaning out my mailbox. Sorry for the late reply. I've still got a couple of comments of yours I've got to answer...)
