Boy singer: Bob Dylan. Dylan doesn't exactly fall into the "boy" category anymore, but the man is like a god to me, and no matter what mood I'm in, I'll always find a Dylan song that fits it.

Girl singer: Oh, god. There are a ton of women singers whose voices and/or songs I love, but it's difficult to pick out just one favourite. Joan Baez, Shakira, Meloissa Etheridge, Madonna, Janis Joplin, Britney, a plethora of singers from the Sixties and Seventies, the list goes on. If I had to pick just one, I'd go with Joan, though.

Band: The Sex Pistols, and possibly Metallica.

Song that brings back memories of high school: The Final Countdown, by Europe, which was my year's theme song for our 100 Days Show, and every time I hear it, I remember what it felt like to realise that fuck, in less than one hundred days, I'd be through with secondary school. Forever.

Author: Just one? Of all time? Um. See, I tend to go through phases, where I really binge on one author, or one genre, so the answer to this tends to vary wildly depending on when you ask me. Right now, I'd say Raymond E. Feist, and the only long-time top-ten inhabitant is Stephen King, so there you go.

Last book read: As in, last book I finished? The Writer's Complete Fantasy Reference. Last book I read in was the Bible.

Kind of cuisine: Um. Italian. I couldn't live without pasta, and as a matter of fact, I think I'll have some tonight.

Place on earth: The seafront. Preferably the North Sea during a strong wind.

Thing to do on a vacation: My favourite vacation day would be to spend the morning exploring the historical sites of a city, have lunch around two in the afternoon, then take a si&etrema;sta in the shade of a tree until about five, Then go do some general sight-seeing and have dinner in a small square somewhere. And yes, despite my absolute intolerance for heath, I have a strong affinity for the Mediterranean culture. I blame my parents for dragging me to France every summer when I was young.

Leisure activity: Reading.

Work activity: Writing, which is too work, dammit.

Best live concert ever witnessed: U2, Madison Square Garden, June 2001.

Stupidest thing done while drunk: I don't really get drunk, and the few times I did, I was just kind of giggly and wobbly. Sorry, folks, no sordid tales to tell here.

Soup: Grannie soup! Which, um, is my grandmother's tomato soup. I'm not a cannibal, no.

Artist: Delvaux. Dali's a close second, but Delvaux has L'Empire des Lumières, and that puts him in the lead.

Sport to watch on TV: European football, and not just for the touchy boylove, either. I prefer to watch it with a mate, in the Irish Times Pub, with a pint of Guinness and a lot of other whackos.

Breakfast: Fresh orange juice, black coffee, scrambled eggs on toast, some fruit (preferably melon), and danish. I'm a big eater.

Favorite getting-ready music: Hm. I don't really listen to any specific music when getting ready to go out, though usually I'm in a good mood, so I'll have my good-mood-playlist on. This includes things like Shiny Happy People, Beautiful Day, and lots of Eighties music.

Most nostalgic situation: Oh, god. Ironically enough, considering my dislike of heath, summers. Sitting in a park, or in the middle of the open fields, on a picnic blanket, with a book, and food, and a radio, which is how I spent about 90% of my summers between age ten and fourteen, or binge reading slash, which was how I spent the summer I was fifteen.

Heroine: I don't really have heroines. Or heroes, for that matter.

Popular misconception about yourself: Er. I don't know? o_O Possibly that I'm eloquent, which, seriously, folks, I'm not.

Living arrangement: One-bedroom flat in Borgerhout, Antwerpen, currently sans pet, but hoping to rectify that soonish.

Favorite TV show: Don't really have one. I've TV shows I like, but there's not really any show I cannot live without, these days.

What's on your mousepad? At work, I have a femgeeks mousepad ("Do not meddle in the affairs of slashers, for you are cute and look good with other (wo)men / femgeeks dot net / for chicks with byte"), which is smudgy and not particularily suited for work, so i should really swap it with the U2 mousepad I have at home.

Favorite smells: Grilled cheese, garlic, vanilla.

Worst feeling in the world: waking up from a nightmare and knowing it's not just a nightmare, but a memory I was reliving. Yeah.

Best feeling in the world: Waking up on a dark, stormy Sunday mid-morning, snuggling down into my fluffy comforter (? is that the word I'm looking for?), and snoozing for half an hour or so.

Favorite soundtrack: Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

What is the first thing you think of when you wake up in the morning? "Mpffgrrnngggg what time is it where's my coffee where did I put my cigarettes did I get any e-mail that isn't spam holy fuck why the hell am I up at this time anyway oh right work blah"

Do you get motion sickness? I used to get very car sick as a child, and although it seems like most of that is gone, I still get it on particularily twisty roads, if I'm in the back of a car. Oddly enough, I'm absolutely fine on boats, planes, trains, etc. Just cars and buses.

Roller coasters - scary or exciting? Exciting, unless they go upside down, in which case, nauseating. I have no idea why, but as long as I'm firmly strapped in, neither speed nor even height bother me too much, but as soon as a ride flips me upside down, I feel like I'm going to throw up, and I get so dizzy I have to close my eyes. Elfie can testify to this.

Pen or pencil? Black 0.7mm rollerball point pen for taking notes and things, and a fountain pen for writing stories. I cannot write in pencil. At all. Not even to fill out crossword puzzles.

How many rings before you answer? Usually two or three, unless it's on my mobile, and I have to dig said mobile out from the bottom of my bag.

Favorite food: Um. I have to pick one? Just one? Can I just go with "pasta"?

Do you get along with your parents? Yes, thankfully.

Chocolate or vanilla? Vanilla. I only really like chocolate if it's an actual bar of (proper, Belgian) chocolate, or in brownies or chocolate milk.

Favorite ice-cream flavor: Stragiatelli, which is real vanilla with chocolate sprinklings.

Croutons or bacon bits? Neither, really, but if I have to choose, croutons. For reasons which should be obvious.

Do you like to drive? No. I mastered the technical side of driving in less than an hour, but I completely freak if I have to drive in traffic, and lately, I don't even like being a passenger in a car anymore.

Do you sleep with stuffed animals? No. I used to, as a child, but I've been unable to sleep with anything since I was eleven or so. I did suck my thumb every night until I was twelve, and even after that whenever I was particularily upset. I still sometimes end up doing it in my sleep.

Storms - cool or scary? Cool. or rather, cosy.

If you could meet one person, dead or alive, who would it be? Jesus, which is either a very original or a very boring answer, I think.

Favorite alcoholic drink: Tie between gin&tonic and Guinness.

What is your zodiac sign? Saggitarius.

Who's your favorite poet? I don't really do poems. Jotie 't Hooft, for lack of a better answer.

Do you eat the stems of broccoli? are you kidding? that's my favourite part!

If you could have any job you wanted, what would it be? What I'm doing now, except part-time and with sliding hours.

If you could dye your hair, what color would it be? What colour wouldn't it be? :D I've had red, blue, white, purple and black hair, and I'm not about to stop dyeing/bleaching it any time soon.

Have you ever been in love? Yes.

What is on the walls in your room? Wallpaper. No, seriously, just wallpaper. I used to have four posters (movie posters for Dracula and Romeo and Juliet, and reproductions of Le Temptation de Saint Aintoine and >L'Empire des Lumières) and a painting (of myself at age twelve) up when I still lived with my folks, but I've not put anything up in my flat, ever. I'm not much of a poster person, I guess.

Is the glass half full or half empty? It's a minute away from needing to be refilled.

Favorite movie? The Defiant Ones.

Are you a lefty, a righty, or ambidextrous? I'm bi-dextrous, which means I have a dominant hand for pretty much any action, but which hand is dominant tends to vary.

Do you type with your fingers on the right keys? No. I can type fast and accurate enough without touch typing, and moving my hands about instead of moving only my fingers helps keep my RSI in check.

What's under your bed? Right now, probably a few dustbunnies and a book or three.

What's your favorite number? Nine.
