Heh. I just realised that my baby cousin was born on the same day as Harley's nephew. (Boy Meets Boy) Heeee! Although in more worrying news, I was just told the kid was born a lot more too early than I though. Six weeks premature is a lot, so I'm worried now. My mum's his godmother, though, and I'm happy for her about that. ^_^

Co-worker 2: Can I just say, those might be cool compared to the other ones, but they are not cool according to any objective standard.

They are cool, dammit. All blue and gell-filled and ooooh! If I had any use for them, I'd get them. Unfrotunately, despite the fact that i've had RSI since fourteen (did I mention the geekdom?), wristwrests only seem to make it worse, not better. Sigh.

Um, yes, I do get my sense of humour from my dad. We are, after all, the family that considered driving their cat schizofrenic. ("Twice the cat for half the mess!")

Thanks, pet. :) His lungs are apparently fine, but they're a bit worried about his heart, and he has to stay in the couveuse for a few weeks at least. Still, I'm sure he'll be okay. ^_^

Plus, my brother's called 'Rob', so. (The youngest is called 'Sanne'. He HATES that stupid singer chit who made everyone think that's a girl's name. To make things worse, she's from the same town as we are. Poor boy.)

I'm lucky to get an English name and a relativily short one. My brother (alexander) and sister(isabelle) were not so lucky with their names. Alexander became 'alexander, alles voor jou en niets voor een ander' and Isabelle was 'isabelle, dikke bille, frikandelle'.
And my nickname - invented by a three-year-old nephew - is *holds breath* Lily.

How'd you get by 'Melle' by the way? I know Melle is a town near Gent but other than that, I have no idea how you got the nick.

Hey, when the kid was born, the singer was unknown yet, and my parents thought they were continuing the tradition of short, simple names.

Heh. If I never hear 'Sofie de Krokodil' again, it'll be too soon.

Melle is short for Armelle, as in Armelle Amaya, which was my fanfic pseud up until a year ago. :)

A common misconception partially promoted by the Austin Powers movies. (Ex: If you're raised by a Belgian and his fifteen year old love slave, you'll turn out to be a bald evil genius. Also, they share a border with the Dutch.)
