Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Countdown: 131 days

Um. Yes. Fuckin' A, just burned my tongue and throat on the coffee. Ow.

And today's FCA-L discussion is about last wills and what to include in them about one's fannish activities, and now I'm seriously thinking about who I want to take over what. Because it's not that I don't want my parents to see what's on my computer (my mum used to dust my boyporn, my dad's visited femgeeks and independent soul, and he's read my LJ on occasion), but I want my fannish executor to be an actual fan. So now I'm thinking about who I want to take over femgeeks, and who I want to do what with my stories, and my WiPs, and everything else, like my LJ and my "real" journal, and stuff like that.

Er, not that I'm planning on croaking any time soon, but you know.

People all over my friends list are "Eeeee!"ing about Buffy, and man, I wish I could still watch it. Sigh.

Molly has written Sperm Of Satan fic. I'm so disappointed. :p

I wish I could still watch it. Sigh.

I almost do. But I like watching 24, so it's almost a trade-off. But I don't get UPN, so ... Right. No point to this comment.

Re:

Heh. I can watch semi-old Buffy (as in, old for you lot, all new for me, since I stopped watching three or four weeks after Hush) on two different channels, but. Blar. Only case where a source material's ever been spoiled for me by the fandom.

Re:

That kind of sucks.

Although, I almost find that I don't really want to watch Buffy. I think that because I stopped watching when it changed stations, I just don't care about it.

I was never a Buffy fanfic reader/writer. I used to watch the show religiously ... And Roswell, but that's a whole different story, right there ;)

Re:

I used to adore Buffy, and Buffy fandom, but then after Hush the teenies rushed into S/X fandom and ruined my little corner and I just ... left. one of the only two fandoms I've ever been in where I just really completely left for good. Sigh.

*nods*

I thought I had two, but Newsies slash is just ... Right ;) I suppose I've left popslash (thankfully) for good. Although I did read that Flesh Mechanic fic. But that's the most recent ... Since, er, September?

Re:

See, to me, being really out of a fandom means I can watch the source material and ... nothing happens. No love for the characters, no squeeing over slashiness, nada. My first fandom was S:AaB, and while I've not been in the actual fandom for ... *counts* geez, about five and a half years, I still get all fangirly whenever I watch it. Same thing with Metallica, U2, *NSync, ... everything I've ever even remotely thought of slashing, up to and including Teen Angel, except for Buffy and BMfM. :/

Re:

Ahhh.

I always assume that fandom = fanfic. Well, at least for West Wing. I was out of Newsies, I didn't even watch it. And then, well, it's a long story that involves a GoNY xover with Newsies that I need to work on.

But, yeah, I see what you mean.

I knew you would be! Heeee! (Watch, people clicking your link now because they're going "what, sperm of Satan? What? Michael Jackson?" And then it's just Harry/Hermione. And I think I dreamed about Dan Radcliffe last night.)

Re:

What do you MEAN, it's JUST Harry/Hermione?

*flails wildly, spluttering things about Satan, sperm, and Pure Evil conquering the world*
