Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Countdown: 140 days
I'm under-caffeinated, I have a bruise on my knee the size of my fist, and there's strange things going on with the office bank account, and yet, oddly, I am in a good mood.
I think this is mainly because I've been pretty damn productive this weekend. Only one load of laundry left to go, I moved my Trunk o' Junk (which is now my Trunk o' Paperwork), into the bedroom, really cleaned all my kitchen cabinets, and made chocolate mousse, and stir-fry with salmon. Mmmm, food. (I am such a housekeeping/cooking nerd.)
Plan for tonight: Get McD's, catch movie, go home to watch some TV, get to bed early.
Ah, I love my friends list. It's always guaranteed to add a touch of surrealism to my day. I feel gipped, man. Clark gets a prehensible dick, and all we have is opposablez thumbs. This also poses the question: What do female genitalia look like on Clark's planet? (More importantly, do I want to know?)
You know what there should be more of in the world? Slash (or het) stories that don't fall into the "A and B have never loved anyone as much as they love each other and they're DESTINED to be together for ever and ever and all eternity amen" trap. I find I get more and more annoyed at the whole One True Love concept. Sometimes, relationships end, and that's not a "failure" or whatnot, it's a fact of life; a fact I'd like to see acknowledged in fiction sometimes. (This is why one of my favourite things about Haeddu was the friendship between Fred and Harry.)
