Okay, people? Making bitchy, "amusing" remarks about how you have to go outside to smoke? Not amusing. Whining to me about having to go outside to smoke? Not going to work. You know why? Because I smoke myself, and I work here, and I go downstairs to take my smoke breaks, like a good girl, because I happen to think it's pretty damn normal that I'm not allowed to ruin other people's lungs with my second hand smoke.

Word. I smoke, too, but I can't get behind that smokers' "we have a right to spew our smoke anywhere" movement. I was a non-smoker for the first 20 years of my life and I still remember what it's like and respect that, gee, some people don't wanna breathe in my fumes.

Oh, good, another person who started to smoke "late" in life. :) Was beginning to think I was the only one.

Yes! I didn't start smoking until I was nearly 21 and I'm so sick of people saying "Pfft. Who starts smoking at 21??" Apparently it's a crime that I didn't start at age 13 or something. :D

Oooh, that's definitely timing. Did you start because of September 11 or was it purely coincidental?

Re:

Purely coincidental. I went out around three thirty, bought my first pack, and came to find my friends list buzzing with the news.
