*hysterical laughter* Just received a request to add someone to our mailing list, and their email addy is P.Scully@<snip>! (This is possibly only amusing when you know amatia's AIM SN.)

There's a lot of talk on FCA-L right now about types of writers, and I think I'm somewhere between type 1 ("writers", who write because of the language and the style etc. and concentrate on that) and type 2 ("storytellers"). I tend to fluctuate between them, sometimes being almost competely at either end, but eventually, I end up around the middle again. (The Evil Het Story, which really needs a title, is almost perfectly in the middle, for example.)

Note to self: if you'd spend as much time writing as you do talking about writing, you might actually get things written for a change. *hits self with lamp*

Hahaha. Word.

But then, talking (arguing/angsting/whining/having animated discussions) about writing is fun, whereas writing itself is hard, frustrating work. I guess it's a problem most writers have?

(I'm really more of a type 2, myself, but I get so caught up in wanting/trying to be type 1 that I hardly ever go through with the storytelling. Er. Yes, that must be it. >_>)
