Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Countdown: 156 days

Must be in UK at time of publishing. Unless I can pre-order from Amazon.co.uk. Anyone know how fast a pre-ordered book ships, normally?

Oh, dude. From this article:

I think that Dumbledore is going to die. Either him or Hagrid. And if J.K. pulls a Luke and Leia thing, I'm gonna be mad.

Yo, Ruth, didn't you have a bunny similar to this? :D And I love how nearly all these kids are Ron/Hermione shippers. theirloveissocanon Also:

Okay, If Voldemort dies, Harry will die because they are connected by Harry's scar. Arabella Figg is NOT Crookshanks. Crookshanks is male. Mrs. Figg is Hedwig, because if you look in a baby names book, "Arabella" means "beautiful eagle". That's why HAGRID bought Harry's owl. To make sure that he got Mrs. Figg. Also, when JKR said "Harry's biggest fan will die." or something like that, everyone would assume it's Colin or Ginny, but it's going to be Hagrid. Think about it "BIGGEST fan". Those are MY predictons, anyway.

For a fourteen-year old, this girl is smart! A fangirl in the making for sure. And I love the 47-year old bloke. He's all "Yes, I'm 47, and I'm writing to CBBC. Want to make something of it?" Heee! And dude:

I hope Harry dies and Malfoy takes over. I also hope that Voldemort will take over the world and that Ron has a really slow and painful death.

V? Silvia? Is that you?

I think Snape and Harry will find out that they are related and his parents are really alive and didn't want him.

Um, issues much, kiddo? Not to mention the Osama Bin Laden theory of one of the kids. Muh?

Dammit, I was only just wrapping my brain around the concept of Britney and Fred (did I hallucinate that, btw? I know I read it on my friends page), and now rumour has it Brit's back with Justin? Ow. (Random thought: I do hope Brit doesn't expect us to believe she's still a virgin after dating Fred Durst.)

Saw The Long Kiss Goodbye yesterday. Bleached blonde Geena Davis kissing a bleeding, battered Lawrence Fishburne. Mmmmmmm.

Randomly, a list of movies that need to be slashed:

  • The Defiant Ones
  • Stand By Me
  • Hackers
  • The Shawshank Redemption

Heh. Another misread subject line: Your "PC's monkey-making power!" Obviously, that should've been money-making.

And in other news, people who cannot manage to use an intercom should not be allowed to exist, at least not where I'm going to have to deal with them. Same thing for people who, upon being told the person they wanted to talk to was out of the office, need five minutes to decide what to do next. I offered to take a message. A simple "yes" or "no" will suffice.

Re:

Oooh, THANK YOU! Must ask dad to borrow his credit card.

*blink*

I thought she'd been seen out dancing with Vin Diesel? Well, same difference about the virginity thing, really. Hah.

And I'm so with you on the Stand By Me slash. Somebody write that, damnit.

Re:

Ahahaha! =D So true, so true. (Vin/Brit/Fred? Ow, my brain.)

And I'm so with you on the Stand By Me slash. Somebody write that, damnit.

Yeah! I already did my part, dammit!

Vin/Brit/Fred

... eeep. XD

I already did my part, dammit!

And, er, I'll do my part some day. Maybe re-watching it and actively looking for bunnies might help? But, really, how come no-one else seems to see it? I mean, that movie should at least have a 'Lost Boys' size fandom ...

Re:

Is that a good or a bad eep?

And I knooow! I mean, Chris and Gordie and waaaah! (So coherent am I this morning.)

From: [identity profile] sivan.livejournal.com

I'm not entirely sure. I think it's a "God, I really didn't need that mental image, but now that I think about it it's actually kind of intriguing in that car wreck way" eep. ;D

Yes. With the crying in each other's arms. Wah. Not to mention the leeches. I'm sure there's dozens of bunnies in the leech scene. Aw, now I want to watch and I don't think I even have it on video. (May be mistaken about this, though. Will inquire with sister.)

Ai! Thank you! Good to know there's someone else. (The journal's been inactive since November, though, and asking out of the blue kind of seems a bit impolite?)

From: [identity profile] usual.livejournal.com

Hmm. You could try emailing her, I guess, or try [livejournal.com profile] daibitchdai, he used to moderate the list she posted it on and archive everything. Hope that's helpful...

From: [identity profile] sivan.livejournal.com

It is, thank you! Will probably try to get in touch with [livejournal.com profile] daibitchdai.

From: [identity profile] usual.livejournal.com

To a couple of lists, it was before she had an LJ, but I think they're both long gone now. You could try... well, see reply to above comment, I'm too lazy to type it again.

You can normally pre-order through www.proxis.be . They usually don't take very long to deliver and you don't have to borrow a credit card. (Normale overschrijvingen via de bank gaan ook.)
I pre-ordered my LotR extended DVD edition and I got it on the same day it was released in the UK. Pretty cool. I think they might do the same for Harry Potter but so far I haven't seen any promotions around it on the site.

Re:

I'd want the English version, though, because the Dutch translation won't be out until after summer.

From: [identity profile] sileas.livejournal.com

Re:

Oooh, but you can order English books! And plenty of them! I don't have any bookshops with a good collection of English literature near me, so I always use proxis.
You can also order DVD's, VHS and computer games.

And the reason why I'm pimping it so much, is because I got my computer game and DVD today.

Re:

Yes! Yes! Yes!
The packages don't take very long to be delivered, unless the mailman only delivers packages on Friday like mine.
There are serveral pay methodes, including the overschrijvingen (what the heck is the English word?).
The only setback is that it's sometimes hard to find certain books since the titles are spelled wrong. Then I just go to Amazon, search for the books, copy the ISBN number and do extended search on Proxis.
And if something is wrong with the book, like getting an audiobook, it's easy to return it to Proxis and getting your money and the portkosten back.

And, 'scuse the rambling. I'm extremely happy today.

You might know this, but [livejournal.com profile] greensage wrote Shawshank Redemption slash. You can get it in her journal, or, if you don't feel like scrolling, it's here (http://www.livejournal.com/talkread.bml?journal=greensage&itemid=57912#cutid1)

Isn't this a beauty?

I think that Snape will turn out to be the real hero of the series, and that Voldemort will be related to Harry in some way. I bet Hermione and Frodo fall in love.

Er, maybe?

You didn't hallucinate anything, or at least not that. My newspaper had a blurb this morning. Some sources say Fred/Britney, some say Britney/Justin, and US Weekly claims to have been tailing her and that she's seeing them both.

Re:

The thing about Draco having been fostered (or whatever) by Lily and James? Wasn't that you? Am I hallucinating again?

That was me, but I'd forgotten about it until you brought it up again. Also, I found my original movie notes from when I first thought of it today.
