Um, yeah. I was planning to get online from work Saturday evening/night, but I've been feeling like I was on the brink of a migraine attack all weekend, so I haven't even really watched TV in the past two days. >_<

In other news, has the entire world shifted into the Monty Python zone, or just Belgium? Apparently, because US troups are staying at Belgian army bases, someone high up reqsuested the local police patrol more frequently around the bases.

...

Police protection for the army? What the fuck, people? (Mustn't get started on surrounding issues, must stay stay zen ...)

*deep breath* </rant>

I've spent a large part of the weekend fighting off a Married With Children bunny. Yes, slash. Yes, it involves Al. Shut up. (Katieeee! Help meeeee!)

Have changed my wallpaper to Marcus/Lee. Speaking of random pairings.

I'm hungry. And, while no longer bordering on an attack, I do still have a headache. And I just unwittingly quoted Tolkien at my boss. I want to go home. *whine*

*hehehe* I think the weirdest thing about it all is that they are debating if the US troups can legally transfer through the harbors to the Middle East.
What scares me is the fact that our government signed some sort of treaty with the US about sharing terrorist information. I'm not sure if the US government will share their information with us so willingly as we would to them. Or maybe it's some sort of plot to keep the US government happy and stay somewhere in the middle of the war without taking too many sides.

Re:

Well, from what I read in De Morgen, legally, they can't, because the treaty is specifically about UN-related operations, and this isn't (yet) a UN operation.

Don't get my started on the US govt, man, I'll never stop.

Hah! That's good. I don't like the idea of Belgium letting this pass.

It's getting creepier and creepier to see how many armymen are moving to the Middle East.

I wouldn't move so much material and armypeople if I didn't know for sure if I'd attack or not.
That kind of transfers costs millions, not too mention that I revved up half the world and all of my country with the prospect of a war. I'd look pretty stupid if I moved all those things and then went home with nothing...

*heh* But that's just my theory if I were in charge.

Don't get my started on the US govt, man, I'll never stop.

I don't think there isn't a day gone by without me thinking once about it.

The problem is that apparently, Verhofstad and whatsisname from Defense knew and already approved, so there might not be much that can be done anymore.

*whimper* And they are even letting the transports use military grounds in St.Niklaas.

I feel like those Senators in Attack of the Clones on Coruscant. I see all these Clone Troopers lifting off in their pre-Empire ships going off to war.

Yep. And the best part about that is that my youngest brother goes to school there. Nice.

He's not too excited about it?

FYI, there's a protest march tomorrow in Brussels at the North Station at 14.00 hours.
I'm not sure if I'm going since I don't fully support the arguments of the organizers. Website here : http://www.stopusa.be .

Re:

*grin* That I can hear.
But younger brothers are easier impressed about such things. My brother is treating me to whole speeches about the possibility of war and tries to astound me by his knowledge of trade-something-somethings.
If my brother were a couple of years younger when all of this happened, my family would have probably locked him up because he would have made too much noise about it all.
I'm not even going to mention the slogans he hung on the outside window for the whole street to see.
