Unidentified Hot Boy in Entertainment Weekly.

There was a group of photos released a few months back from Chamber of Secrets, and one was of the Slytherin Quidditch team. Behind Draco and Marcus, there was a guy that several people decided was hot, and he wound up with an odd sort of fanclub; there was a flurry of ficlets that cropped up involving the "UHBEW" and other characters. (my personal favorite was UHBEW/Riddle.) I believe ravenchel is going to be putting together an archive of UBHEW fics eventually.

...wow, in retrospect that sounds really insane. the fandom is so bizarre.

I did some research, and apparently, it stands for "The Unnamed Hot Boy in EW." The only EW I know is Entertainment Weekly, so apparently, it was just some random picture some chick saw and went "Ooh, am going to write him."

Very strange, but interesting. Like, you know, he's an OC, right? So why not give him a name, at least?

Aaah, the guy we think is Bole? Coool! Must read stories and S&R with "Bole". Or "Tarquinius," for I'm far too fond of that name.

Apparently, he's the guy we think is Bole. No canon first name, but the RP version is called Tarquinius, so.

Hmm. Okay, then, when the next movie comes out, are the people who write these UHBEW fics change the names? Or are they not fics so much as ficlets, not so much worth the effort?

Akshelly... I think it's Scott Fearn, also known as Adrian Pucey. He's a bit different from the Bole from Philosopher's Stone... if you'll look[stare] at the pictures long enough. ~_^ But, just as sexy. Yum.

Sorry, I was just lurking around your LJ when I moved my mouse over that UHBEW link, and realised that it was my crappy story. There are much better UHBEW stories around. Though, when explained to others, it does seem rather inane.
